Mariami steps boldly into a new creative era with her latest single, ‘Devil’s Coming Down’, a track entirely crafted by her own hands. Thanks to the clever drumming of Robert Lottreck, who also assisted in the final mixing stages, and the invaluable guidance of her mix teacher Rav Chana, Mariami was able to sculpt this track into a powerful reflection of her vision. Georgie Winchester
Georgie Winchester, hailing from Wonnarua country in the small town of Maitland NSW, showcases her talent for catchy songwriting, demanding vocals and guitars and a knack for storytelling on her latest single ‘the signs’. Produced by Jack Nigro (Skegss, Dune Rats, The Terrys) at Sonara Studios, Central Coast, the track feels like a happy surf road trip, bouncing along with Georgie’s new found love for electric guitars and phaser effects combined with her semi-occa lyricism and second-look soaring vocals. From a post-breakup lens, ‘the signs’ is about Georgie’s hindsight regret about not properly reading or acting upon red flags that cropped up in her past relationship, especially at it’s early stages. Laura Jadi
Laura Jadi is an independent singer and producer who has recently released her new single ‘Don’t Get Too Close.’ The song itself tackles post traumatic behavioral patterns, relationship struggles, the aftermath of domestic and sexual violence and mental health. Laura Jadi, a traveling singer with roots from Budapest and Vienna, sets herself apart through engaging storytelling, unique vocals and high-quality production. Eluna
Eluna is a 23-year-old Cuban-American multi-genre singer, songwriter and producer. Originally from New York and currently based in Dublin, she began writing and producing her own music at 16 in Valencia, Spain, and hasn’t looked back since. Combining ethereal melodies with Latin rhythms and alternative RnB, she offers a refreshing take on contemporary music. She has created a recognisable sound in the Dublin music scene, drawing from her diverse cultural influences and a deep well of personal experiences. Her lyrics, often introspective and raw, explore themes of identity, love, and resilience, resonating with a wide audience. New single ‘bb (starchaser)’ is an introspective exploration of love and romance, crafted as a personal challenge to delve into themes that often feel unfamiliar. The track unfolds in two distinct halves, each reflecting a different stage of a relationship. The first half captures the intoxicating rush of lust and infatuation—an ethereal and airy soundscape mirrors the thrill and vulnerability of falling for someone new while grappling with the fear of getting hurt. Glorybox
London-based band Glorybox has released a new single, ‘Shadows’. Inspired by queerness and visibility, the song was written and recorded during a residency with Britten Pears Arts in Snape Maltings, Suffolk. This single marks a new departure for the band, forging a new path into darker realms of pop drawing on tight vocal harmonies with dark rocky undertones. Lead vocalist Daisy says, “‘Shadows’ explores the painful experience of not being seen for who you truly are by some of the people you love. Playing with Glorybox means so much to me not just because we are close friends and collaborators, but also because we explore meaningful experiences related to our gender and sexuality including issues of bi erasure and cis/heteronormativity. We hope this means something to some of our listeners too!” Listen below.

Nead Next Door
Nead Next Door is here to bring you your next crying in the club anthem, ‘dance floors u won’t see.’ Nead has affectionately dubbed it their bittersweet bop of the summer. Located on Gadigal land, Nead is a queer, non-binary artist. ‘dance floors u won’t see’ is a package of pop goodness: driving production, big belted chorus melodies, and hyper/dance pop influences that all make you want to dance. Listening to the lyrics you hear that the song at its core is about when grief hits you at random moments, especially when you’re having fun and you wish those that you miss/have lost could be there to experience it too. Angharad
‘stay!’ is the fourth single released by London-based artist Angharad. With an electronic, bedroom-pop sound, the song is the fourth release by the singer, and follows her 2024 track ‘Something More.’ While previous singles utilise soulful, ambient melodies, ‘stay!’ is a faster-paced and more upbeat pivot, with dream pop and dance influences. Written, produced, and performed by the British-Mexican artist, ‘stay!’ is one of the first releases of an upcoming EP, expected to be released in 2025. Listen below.

Jayi
In 2021, Jayi was hand-selected from dozens of online submissions to train with a girl group for a newly-formed record label in Los Angeles. Three years later, she is putting her idol aspirations on pause to debut as a pop soloist, solely under her own terms. A girl group trainee-turned-independent artist, Jayi’s dance background influences the hard-hitting beats in her self-produced tracks, and her queer Filipina-American upbringing is woven through her bilingual lyrics. The single’s blend of EDM and pop stems from her love of K-Pop, P-Pop, dance pop, and electronic music and producer roots. Prior to her debut, Jayi has produced pop, R&B, rock, and fusion tracks for other independent artists such as Nikita and Wulfy, and is currently working on her first EP, set to release next year. Jayi’s debut single, ‘Blue Angel’, is a high-energy lament about being the second option, but also the shoulder that everyone leans on, whose efforts often go unnoticed and unrewarded. The track was fully produced, mixed, and mastered by Jayi over the span of a couple of months. Listen below.

Beth Pilling and the Bootleggers
Beth Pilling is a 23 year old singer-songwriter hiding away in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. She has been on the UK acoustic scene since the age of 16 and decided to start a band a couple years ago after being advised to by local promoters. The Bootleggers are a Hull based band and have had some incredible opportunities since forming such as headlining Humber Street Sesh, playing This Feeling By The Sea, and starting to branch out further having recently played our their first gig in York at the Fulford Arms opening for good friends Different State. Their song ‘Spinning’ is out now is their debut single from upcoming EP Bootleg Vol.1 which releases Friday. “It’s a song about Spiking and attitudes towards women,” explains Beth. “As a female performer, I’ve had my (un)fair share of experiences in the industry whether it be being sexually harassed, physically groped, or just generally bothered. It’s sadly a very common experience for women in music and I decided it was time to bring to light what is often swept under the rug and wrote Spinning. My main goal for the song was to help other women feel seen and know that their anger is valid, and also take back the power by writing a song that we can dance to. Something that’s really important to me is offering a safe space for women and minority genders to enjoy live music and feel part of a community.” Listen below.

As ANGHARAD explains: “‘Because I Am A Woman’ was written as a response to the widely accepted beliefs in the music industry that it’s not possible to be a mother and have a successful career.

“I received some hostile reactions myself when I announced that I was pregnant. I was told that I was unambitious and that I was no longer serious about following a career in music. These outdated, sexist attitudes need to change.

“This is a call to arms to any woman who has experienced similar attitudes and expressing the need to stand up for change. Rather than getting angry about it, this song says “yes we can!” And “yes, we are capable of anything!” I believe it is possible to have both, and do both well, when society will allow us.

“My mother is also a musician, but took a back seat from her musical career for some 15 years in order to focus on raising me and my sister. Even before I was ready for children, it played on my mind how could I follow a career in music and become a mother. I used to play out different scenarios in my mind, such as giving myself a certain amount of years, then a change of career.

“When the time came, I wasn’t ready for a career change. I felt I had more to offer creatively than ever before. I’d reached an age where I had knowledge, confidence and useful networks to really progress to the next level. I wasn’t prepared to let all that go simply because I’d decided to start a family.

“So far, starting a family has enhanced my creative output. I just need to be flexible, and open to thinking differently about how to manage it and get it out there. My wish is to see the industry being as open to these changes as me, and every other mother who’s tirelessly figuring out how to do both.”
