“’Kiss’ is about seeing someone after a breakup, realizing why you were wrong for each other but wanting to feel that love again for one more night,” says Blu DeTiger. “It’s about living in that moment. Maybe kissing that person will make me feel what I did back then. It was important to me to dial in the production for this song so that there only needed to be a few elements for it to feel full. I especially love the bass tone on this song. The envelope opening and closing feels like the push and pull of missing someone. It’s my favorite from the whole album.”

On her playfully seductive new single ‘Dangerous Game,’ Blu sings, “Call me yoko ono / I’ll break up the band” and proposes an unforgettable evening of dancing and indulgence: “Let’s blow our money / Let’s go all night.” She and Noah Conrad (Niall Horan, LANY) produced the track, co-writing it with Casey Smith (Jonas Brothers, Tori Kelly).

“I wanted a song that portrayed this fun character who doesn’t give a fuck, who wants to go out and experience life – which is a big part of my personality,” Blu DeTiger says.

In the official video for ‘Dangerous Game,’ Blu gives an effortlessly cool performance of the song as the four-piece band she fronts “breaks up” and is continually reinvented. Shot in Los Angeles, where Blu now resides, the video was directed by Alex Thurmond (Kehlani, TEED, Blondshell) and produced by Stink Films.

“‘Elevator’ is an upbeat, tongue in cheek way of expressing how I feel when I’m stuck in the elevator (of life). It’s about moments when I’m down and need to be taken back up,” explains Blu DeTiger. “The song is about turning a bad situation, like being caught in an elevator with someone you don’t like or just feeling down, and going through it and getting past it. It’s encouraging. The lyric ‘I could be a big shot too’ reminds me that I can take control of my own journey and path.”

“‘Crash Course’ is collection of New York sounds spun around and spit out onto an L.A. racetrack,” explains Blu DeTiger. “It’s dirty bass, high energy, fun. We had the best time making this and I think that comes through when you listen to it. I’ve been a big fan of Biig Piig for a while, she has a really unique voice and sound. It was really cool to collaborate with her on this.”

Biig Piig adds, “Making the track in L.A. with Blu, Rex and Oscar was so fun, it all flowed so great in the studio and the drums and bass line just set me off – I feel like we tapped into this divine feminine energy, and when the lyrics and melodies came I pictured us driving fast down a highway, GTA style blaring the speakers.”
