Casii shares, “I’m mad. I was raised to believe in God’s divine plan for America. That the monarchy was never meant for us. And now… they want a monarchy.  They want to threaten my trans friends’ lives and make them unwelcome in Oklahoma. They want to deport people who are near and dear to my family. They want to pick on the minority. Well, pick on me. I’m the majority. We’re the majority. And if they think this country will go down without a fight? Darlings. We already won this war. I guess it’s time to remember who we are. The home of the brave and the land of the free.”

She confides, “The song is inspired by Shania Twain’s documentary where her ex-husband cheated on her while she was going through lyme disease, an Oncology Nurse told me it’s so common for some men to leave their partners when they get cancer that nurses will counsel women about it. When I heard this I knew I needed to write out my anger. These men seem to think they have the right to “better” partners when women lose their “resources” and I just wanted to cut their ego with a song. A woman’s value is more than her health; if you can’t see that, please stay single.”

The soul-drenched funk pop meets rock single was produced by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes, St. Paul and the Broken Bones) and is all about being i love. Casii confides, “Welcome to being completely obsessed and consumed by love. This is the kind of love that grabs you off of the bar stool you were sitting on and dances with you until your feet start bleeding. It feels good, but also your friends have questions. I do hope this song makes you smile, dance, and have fun though. Just make sure to go to bed at some point.”

Leading single ‘Can’t Handle Me’ is a soulful funk pop rock thrill. She confides, “Being single has many highs and lows. This one is about overcoming a low. When a drunk guy at the bar can’t get the message that you don’t want to talk to him and he just keeps on talking and talking and talking… We bite our tongues, because the truth is they can’t handle us.”
