Prepare for a sonic onslaught as Militia Vox and industrial collective FleischKrieg join forces for ‘Reach,’ a punishing new industrial metal single officially out now via Golden Robot Records, available to stream everywhere.

Featuring the legendary Logan Mader (Machine Head, Soulfly) on guitars, who has produced for metal heavyweights like Gojira, Five Finger Death Punch, and Fear Factory, ‘Reach’ delivers a crushing mix of industrial soundscapes, cinematic chaos, and bone-rattling riffs.

“This song is a testament to my love for the APOC scene and the community,” says Militia Vox. “We are some of the most die-hard, heavy music lovers on the planet. The commitment to the Wastelander lifestyle, the creativity, and the people are like no other. Wasteland is my happy place. It’s where my music and my fire show make the most sense, and they fully accept my artistry – uncensored.”

Two years on from their sensational debut, Ukrainian ‘Riot Grrrls’ Mariana, Anastasiia and Nataliia, aka Death Pill are back. And back in full force, locked and loaded with a mighty set of tunes on their highly anticipated second album SOLOGAMY, which is … as they put it. ‘A bold exploration of personal empowerment’. SOLOGAMY is fierce, heavy and melodic, and is set to land on June 20 via New Heavy Sounds.

Commenting on first single ‘Craterface’ the band add, “‘Craterface’ is a metaphor for a person whose face bears the marks of past struggles—both physical and emotional. This track is a cry from the soul, reflecting fear, self-hatred, and complicated relationships. The lyrical hero wrestles with inner conflicts, searching for acceptance. In a world filled with pressure and stress, Craterface becomes the voice of those trying to make sense of their emotions.

“The protagonist feels not only anger toward others but also rage toward themselves for their own helplessness. This fury transforms into a thirst for revenge—a painful yet powerful way to cope with suffering. ‘Craterface’ is my ultimate catharsis. A catharsis of consuming hatred, of the vengeance that eats me from the inside. “Let’s be honest—haven’t we all felt this way at least once?”

Rockshots Records proudly announces the first single and official video from HELLFOX, a band that blends melodic death and alternative metal with a sharp emotional edge. Titled ‘Seaweed Braids’, the song anticipates their upcoming album The Spectrum of Human Gravity, a bold and emotional journey set for release June 6.

‘Seaweed Braid’ is a melancholic and introspective track that opens the emotional arc of the new album. As the band explains, the song evokes the image of a fragile creature submerged in deep waters — a metaphor for a soul lost in pain and memory. Lyrically, the track reflects on the irreversible moment when we realize what we’ve lost and can only sing a lullaby to the waves.

Dutch symphonic metal frontrunners EPICA have finally released their brand-new studio album, Aspiral. The band invites fans to immerse themselves in the full sonic journey as it is meant to be experienced: from start to finish in one go.

In conjunction with the album release, EPICA has unveiled a sci-fi-themed music video for ‘Fight To Survive – The Overview Effect’. The track draws inspiration from the cognitive shift experienced by astronauts after observing Earth from space — a powerful moment of awe, interconnectedness, and a profound appreciation for the planet’s fragility.

“Musically, this song encapsulates the full spectrum of EPICA,” the band explains. “From heavy to soft, uplifting to melancholic — ‘Fight To Survive’ embodies it all.”

The visually striking video was once again brought to life by Remko Tielemans and produced by Kollektiv Kunststoff, who also directed clips for the band’s previous singles ‘Arcana’ and ‘Cross The Divide’.

Finnish melodic metal band Unén are excited to unveil their new official video, ‘Forever Winter’, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

Vocalist Stina Girs commented on the new single by saying: “When the mind sinks into darkness and no light is in sight, the inner landscape can feel like an eternal winter. Also, the loss of a loved one can feel like a desolate midwinter. Forever Winter can be either one for the listener – a personal battle toward brighter days, or a message to a loved one, on the other side”.

Ominous Ruin will release their new record Requiem on May 9. Should you be in the mood for decimating riffs and mind-melting technicality, look no further than our premiere of the band’s new single ‘Staring Into The Abysm’.

Motive Black fittingly dropped title track, ‘Auburn,’ from their debut full-length on Black Friday. Produced by Grammy-winner Nick Rowe (Bloodsimple, Vampire Weekend), the track digs deeper into the theme of the album. Opening up about the central subject matter of her debut record with Motive Black, front woman Elana Justin says “‘Auburn’ is a song that means a lot to me. It means so much that I was almost hesitant to put it out. I lost my sister to her battle with addiction. She was one of the smartest women I will ever know. She was a straight-A student who aspired to be a doctor. Addiction does not discriminate. I am angry that she will never realize her dreams. This song is about loss, struggle, rage, but mostly it’s about missing my sister and all of her potential. I will never laugh with anyone like I did with Mia. We need to end the stigma associated with addiction. People are meant to be loved, not judged. I miss Mia every day, and I will for my whole life.”

New Heavy Sounds is pleased to announce their first release of 2023. The self-titled debut album by Death Pill, a hardcore punk power trio of considerable muscle, combining metalcore, punk rock and oodles of ‘Riot Grrl’ vibe. First single ‘Расцарапаю Ебало’ literally translated as ‘Scratch Asshole’ and is dedicated to Mariana’s ex, she says “if you hear it, honey, you should know, – i’ll scratch your fucking face until it bleeds!”

Since the release of their debut album in 2020, rising modern symphonic metal stars Ad Infinitum have stirred up the scene, and are now about to unveil their electrifying third studio album, Chapter III – Downfall, out March 31 via Napalm Records. After returning from several sold out shows on their expanded European and UK tour with Amaranthe, Beyond The Black and Butcher Babies, they have unleashed their next appetizer, ‘Somewhere Better.’ The new track creates an ethereal, catchy soundscape with screaming guitars colliding with vocalist Melissa Bonny’s haunting, perfectly contrasting voice. Underlining the ballad’s captivating feeling, its video creates a perfect symbiosis both musically and visually, carrying the listener into the new world of Ad Infinitum. Ad Infinitum on ‘Somewhere Better’: “After playing “Somewhere Better” on tour and sharing fantastic and emotional moments with thousands of people all around Europe and the UK, we are thrilled to release this song, together with a video full of memories of our tour with Amaranthe, Beyond the Black and Butcher Babies. Warm greetings to all the people who will spot themselves in this video!” [via Metal Underground]

‘Warning Sign’ is the first single from cinematic metal icons Dark Sarah‘s upcoming fifth studio album, Attack Of Orym. It’s a powerful song with a message to fight back against the ones who wish to harm you. In the album storyline, the protagonist Luna chooses a powerful weapon of bewitched flowers to fight against Orym, the villain of the story. [via Brave Words]

German modern metal upstarts, League Of Distortion, have introduced an incredibly refreshing sound to the scene with the successful releases of fiery first singles ‘Wolf Or Lamb’ and ‘My Revenge’, proving the musical finesse and experience of lead members Anna “Ace” Brunner (Exit Eden) and Jim “Arro” Müller (Kissin’ Dynamite). While the electrified third single ‘It Hurts So Good’ recently added to their dangerous mood, the quartet goes all out by showing their most resilient side on final single ‘I’m A Bitch’, landing just before the release of their self-titled debut album last Friday via Napalm Records. The vibrant formation doesn’t make any compromises by offering a wild, energetic sound that doesn’t hide behind any norms. ‘I’m A Bitch’ kicks off with hypnotizing rhythms, rising up to a grooving, hard-hitting soundscape while making an empowering statement with its music video. League Of Distortion on ‘I’m A Bitch’: “This song is about social prejudice and inequality. Women and men are still being treated with different measures. With this provocative topic, song and music video, we are speaking up against this injustice, wanting to persuade you to reprogram the old patterns of thinking.” [via Brave Words]

Finnish symphonic metal band, Memoira, have released a new single and video, ‘Autumn’s Heart’. The new single represents a softer side of Memoira with the theme being the loss of a child. “The lyrical theme of the song is child loss. The narrator is the mother, who has just lost her child right as the child had started his young adult life. The mother is reminiscing about all that they’ve been through with a plaintive mind, but there is also hope. For everything they’ve been through, there are always the memories. Autumn’s heart is the cradle of the end of your life where all the memories will live on forever,” says Lassi Nuolivaara (keyboards). [via Brave Words]

Italian electronic-metal act, Kalah, have released the video for their single, ‘Mermaids’ Cry’, taken from the debut album, Descent Into Human Weakness, released back in August via Pure Steel Records. Directed by Carlos Reyes Vergara, the video sees singer Claudia in the role of a horrific siren who lures her prey into the world of dreams. The track mixes dark Nevermore-like atmospheres with the melodic openings of power metal, without neglecting the usual influences of heavier electronics.
