Filmed between the beaches and festivals of Australia and their studio in Brixton, the music video features Melbourne punk band R.U.B who joined the band on stage as their ‘Daussies’ at LOUD WOMEN Fest Sydney.

Built from handclaps, massive swelling guitars, gang vocals, chanting and spelling, ‘Superduperdoris’ has everything a proper LOUD WOMEN anthem needs. At its heart is the legendary Pledge of Doris, a moment fans around the world have taken in unison with the band at the start of shows – pledging to undertake small, kind acts, from giving up a seat on the bus to, crucially, not voting for fascists.

The live pledge is never the same twice, shifting with time, place, audience, and the hormonal state of the Doris leading it that day – but now it’s finally been captured on record.

The song is released today on Bandcamp Friday, a date that matters deeply to the band following their recent decision to remove their music from Spotify (“because they are absolute rotters”). To mark the occasion, I, Doris have also released beautifully hand screen-printed tea towels, featuring the full Pledge of Doris, so fans can reaffirm their values while doing the washing up. Buying a tea towel on Bandcamp Friday, the band note, is worth “approximately a gazillion Spotify streams anyway.”

Speaking about the release, the band say: “Superduperdoris’ is who we are in under three minutes. It’s loud, it’s fun, it’s sincere, and it asks very little of you – just be kind, look out for each other, and absolutely do not vote for fascists. Also: please buy a tea towel.”

The single’s cover art is a photograph by legendary London scene photographer Keira Anee, who challenged the band to recreate a classic album cover. The Dorisses unanimously chose Check Your Head by the Beastie Boys, meticulously recreating the iconic “boys pose” in Keira’s London studio – a playful nod to musical heroes, reimagined through a proudly Doris-shaped lens.

Vinyl lovers are also in for a treat: Superduperdoris appears on the brand-new LOUD WOMEN 10th Anniversary Compilation, released on orange and purple splattered vinyl, celebrating a decade of artists who’ve graced LOUD WOMEN stages.

Speaking about the new releases, the band said: “We wanted to make a song that reminds everyone their body is already beach-ready — no crash diets, no filters, just you and your fabulous self. And why French? Because everything sounds cooler in French… even cellulite.”

A glorious video, shot this summer on the beach and punk festival stages of Blackpool by Mark Cartwright, captures the track’s playful spirit, complete with bold swimwear, cheeky choreography, and a cameo from Hull’s rising riot grrrl teen sensations WENCH!

A ridiculously catchy pop-infused, post-punk banger from the offset, ‘HRT’ celebrates a powerful message about gynaecological healthcare. It comes accompanied with a super fun music video – during the filming of which, two Dorisses got themselves thrown out of Brixton’s TK Maxx store. They regret nothing. The video – directed by filmmaker Minni Moody – features a cast of hormone replacement therapy users of all genders, who come together to create a powerful visual representation of the song’s themes of resilience and rebellion. The video also sees the band (a six-Doris lineup) recording the song in Brixton Hill Studios, with their producer Stephen Gilchrist also being roped in to play the part of ‘The Doctor’.

‘HRT’ marks the gold standard of I, Doris’ hallmark biting humour and feminist commentary. With its driving bass line, catchy keytar bop and enormous guitar riffs, the song speaks to the frustrations and challenges of navigating the healthcare system, particularly when it comes to access to hormone replacement therapy.

Songwriter and bassist, Doris, says of the track, “so many people with wombs face an uphill battle in obtaining the healthcare they need. ‘HRT’ is about the struggle to be taken seriously and the fight to access the care we need to live our lives on our own terms. Also, it’s a disco banger. Now, what was I just saying?”.
