Hip-hop phenomenon TiaCorine pulls us back into her kaleidoscopic, genre-blurring world with ‘Different Color Stones,’ a smooth, melody-blessed celebration of self-love, that’s out now via Interscope Records. Her first official drop since February’s critically acclaimed Almost There EP, the new single finds the North Carolinian artist cycling through vocal styles, and only adds to the sense that she is on the fast track towards a major breakthrough. “’Different Colored Stones’ is my first single since my ep… I’ve been recording so much recently… working on my album but I wanted to give my fans something while I’m still working,” said TiaCorine, “It was hard to choose which song but my daughter and my team all said this one was their favorite so I’m trying a new thing where I don’t overthink and trust other people opinions so here we are.” ‘Different Color Stones’ comes with a Moshpit directed video. It finds Tia flaunting through the streets of Brooklyn. Produced by Pooh Beatz, Ambezza, Fizzle, and JULiA LEWiS, ‘Different Colored Stones’ kicks off with pretty synth notes and an 808-boosted groove. Busy hi-hats, guitar strums, and swirling atmosphere complete the soundscape, but TiaCorine’s voice is the most powerful instrument. She moves from low-key bars to high and harmonious coos, and staccato shouts to melodic fast rap.

North London’s rising rapper, Chy Cartier is doing her thing on spicy new release, ‘YO’. Between the energising ad libs and smooth, braggadocios flows, Chy Cartier has cooked up something special with this one. Equipped with a high-octane sample from Vano3000’s viral ‘Adult Swim’ edit of BADBADNOTGOOD‘s ‘Time Moves Slow’, ‘Adult Swim’ is just the dose of nostalgia we needed to enter the weekend. “I got the swag for sure, I got the— bag for sure / Kobe, I got 2-4, in the bank / Yeah, my boys be smoking like 24/7, the bus smell like dank,” she spits on the verse. Atlanta rap star Kaliii is expecting a bundle of joy soon, but she isn’t letting that stop her from putting in work and enjoying the fruits of the other kind of labor. In the video for her new single ‘Hot Girl Maybach,’ Kaliii shows off both her baby bump and some expensive rides as she rocks a silver gown in the driveway of a mansion surrounded by the titular luxury autos. Monaleo is prepping for her new project. Throwing Bows might be the most spot-on title for a Monaleo project. Her rap style and bars exhibit similar actions that you would see in a boxing ring. Ironically, the cover for the aforementioned tape displays exactly that as she’s knocked out a man cold. Even crazier, is that Monaleo and Kaliii sound like they want to throw down with some toxic men for their girlfriends on their new single ‘Flush Em’. This track comes just a week ahead of Throwing Bows, which will be her second LP of her still bubbling career. ‘Flush Em’, which features production from Bankroll Got It, is the third offering, as it comes after ‘Passenger Princess’ and ‘Don Who Leo’. While the flows are a bit clunky and do sound like Latto at times, what you can’t deny is the energy and mic presence from Monaleo. [via HNHH]

Kaliii continues to lay down the law. Last year, the ATL rapper made a splash with her viral hit ‘Area Codes.’ Now she has shared her empowered new single, ‘Bozo.’ The song precedes her upcoming EP, which is slated for release this spring. On ‘Bozo,’ Kaliii makes it known she’s not the one to play with. She tells the story of a break-up, unfazed about hearing of a man’s infidelity. Evidently, Kaliii heard the news from the man’s mistress, but simply lets the woman know that she can have that man. “Come to me as a woman? That’s a no-no / ‘Cuz who the fck wants smoke about a bozo,” she raps on one of the song’s verse. The song features a prominent sample of Keyshia Cole’s ‘Love,’ but make no mistake — Kaliii won’t be suckered back in. After a vocal sample of Cole singing the word “love,” Kaliii raps “Fck that, ain’t no more love for a ho” and says “his homeboy the one I should’ve chose.” In the song’s video, Kalii is seen gossiping with her girls about the break-up, then living her best life dressed to the nines on a yacht, while the titular bozo begs for another chance. A fashion forward figure, Glo ended lat year on a high, with her massive single ‘Pop It’ causing a ruckus on its release. Hitting 2024, new single ‘Yeah Glo!’ ups the ante yet again. A crunk-infused banger with a call-and-response chorus – “get ’em Glo!” – it’s an anthemic hard-hitter, with GloRilla at her most unruly. A rap renegade, production on the song comes from an all-star team – Go Grizzly, B100, Squat Beats and Lil Ronnie.
