“We wanted to write a song that just felt nostalgic and easy to dance to, even with darker themes,” says singer and guitarist Tealarose Coy. “The music and background vocals are very much “California Cheerleading” but the lyrics are about murdering your cheating boyfriend. It dives into the idea of letting your paranoia take control. We loved the idea of leaving it open ended how the story actually goes but naturally agreeing with the narrator. We support women’s rights and wrongs!”

Lavalove have never been interested in asking for permission.
