Conquer Divide have just revealed their latest single, ‘Bad Dreams’ featuring Michigan metalcore heroes Of Virtue. The song combines Conquer Divide’s ability to mix luscious and captivating vocals and hooks with their crushing intensity, both musically and lyrically, on this introspective slab of inner turmoil, which is complemented by Of Virtue’s vocalists Tyler Ennis and Damon Tate’s melodic turned raging contributions.

Talking about the personal tones of the song, guitarist Izzy Johnson says,”We are stoked to bring the next era of Conquer Divide with our new song ‘Bad Dreams ft Of Virtue’. Lyrically it touches on the feeling of wanting nothing more than to succeed but being sabotaged by your own thoughts. Analysis paralysis is real and creates cycles that sometimes feel unbreakable, something that we have all individually experienced. Just like our other songs ‘Paralyzed,’ ‘Pressure’ and ‘N E W H E A V E N’ (that also have introspective themes), we hope this song is something our listeners can relate to and find comfort in. Big thanks to the guys in Of Virtue who made the song come alive, we are blessed to create music alongside such talent.”

Of Virtue’s Tyler Ennis adds, “I’ve been a fan of Conquer Divide ever since I heard ‘Messy’. It’s an absolute honor being asked to bring both our bands together on their newest single and we’re excited for it to finally be released!”

Italian power/gothic metal band Risen Crow returns with their second single, ‘Believe In Me’, from the upcoming album Requiem For A Damned Love, dropping February 28 from Rockshots Records.

‘Believe In Me’ is an anthem of trust, inner turmoil, and connection, blending symphonic textures, intricate guitars, and emotive vocals. Concept-driven, haunting, and melodic, this single sets the tone for a journey through obsession, madness, and the destructive power of love. The music video delivers a cinematic experience, perfectly complementing the emotional depth of the track. Don’t miss it! Let Risen Crow take you into their world of powerful storytelling and atmospheric metal.

LA musician Madison Violett has released her powerful debut single ‘Circling.’ Madison says, “‘Circling’ is about realizing that it’s okay to acknowledge that people have hurt you, and that’s the first step to recognizing that you are above the ones who have wronged you. You are so much more than the people who have put you down- and after all, their words are just words. The fact that people are trying to bring you down confirms that they’re intimidated by your resilience and strength. What I want to convey to all my listeners is to stay strong. Keep your head up and don’t let anyone dim your flame. Don’t stop chasing what you’re after.”

Swedish hard rockers, Thundermother, are premiering a new music video for their latest single ‘Can’t Put Out the Fire’. The charismatic rock quartet is releasing their new studio album titled Dirty & Divine on February 7, 2025 via AFM Records.

In a gesture of solidarity with friends and fans in Southern California the band says: “Our hearts go out to the City of Angels. We love you Los Angeles and know you will come back stronger than ever. This song was written and recorded last year and we hope everyone can still enjoy it.”

LUNA KILLS have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘Leech,’ is taken from the Finnish alternative metalcore band’s upcoming debut album, DEATHMATCH, which is scheduled to be released in April this year, via SharpTone Records.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Lotta Ruutiainen says, “’Leech’ is a raw depiction of battling depression and thoughts of self harm” vocalist Lotta Ruutiainen explains. “Its lyrics portray the denial and avoidance of facing the depths of the illness, even as it spirals out of control. Ultimately it conveys the painful understanding of staying in that place, where fear and self-hatred have entwined so tightly with one’s identity that they seem impossible to separate. The song was one of the last few we wrote for the album, and the music came together in a more relaxed and joyful manner than the lyrics might suggest. It’s one of those songs that came together quickly because everyone instantly connected with the melodies and rhythms and had a shared vision for it.” [via Distorted Sound]

DAWN OF OUROBOROS have announced a new album. Titled Bioluminescence, the upcoming album from the Oakland, California-based progressive black metal band is the follow-up to 2023’s Velvet Incandescence, and is scheduled to be released in March this year, via Prosthetic Records.

The upcoming album was primarily self recorded before the mixing was handled by Lewis Johns at The Ranch in Southampton, UK, and mastering by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering in Manchester, UK. Additional engineering was then completed by Nick Loiacono at Fang Studios in San Mateo, before the ethereal artwork was crafted by Alex Eckman Lawn.

Alongside the announcement of the new album, DAWN OF OUROBOROS have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; the title track ‘Bioluminescence.’

Speaking about the new song, the band shares, “the ocean has always been a major inspiration for us as a band, but this song is the first where we’ve directly composed something about it. Particularly, it’s about the chemical process found in many deep-sea animals called bioluminescence. We wanted the title track to be an introduction to the more adventurous vibe of the overall album. To create something that pushed ourselves into a more progressive area of our creativity, while still maintaining the emotional intensity and melodic sensibilities the represents the qualities of our music that are so important to us as a band.” [via Distorted Sound]

Deathless Legacy has released a video for ‘Miserere’, first single taken from the new album, Damnatio Aeterna, to be released on March 7 by Scarlet Records.

Directed by Frater Orion, the video translates the dark and provocative theme of the track into images: a confession turned into an obsessive and disturbing ritual, where the line between redemption and sin dissolves. With haunting atmospheres and powerful visual symbolism, the video for ‘Miserere’ offers an interpretation of the twisted relationship between sin and salvation, immersing the viewer in a cathartic experience.
Aligned, your new favorite Gothenburg-based purveyor of both earworms and riffs, is now streaming their new single ‘Elysian’. The single comes alongside a video by Linda Florin and music produced, mixed, and mastered by Jonathan Thorpenberg at Welfare Sounds.

On the single itself, Aligned offered: “‘Elysian’ is the first in a series of singles to be released during 2025 and marks a leap forward for Aligned, merging the raw intensity of metalcore with subtle touches of melodic metal and a haunting sense of melancholy.” [via Metal Injection]

German-based alternative outfit SEVEN BLOOD have released their brand new single and music video for ‘Monsters’, produced by Anfy Hartmann, mixed by Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Holding Absence, Bury Tomorrow) and mastered by Dick Beetham. The track follows the release of their previous single ‘As We Bleed’, the cathartic ‘House ≠ Home’ and their debut release ‘Killing From The Inside’, all of which are available for streaming now.

Channelling SEVEN BLOOD’s most technical influences – notably Architects and Bring Me The Horizon – ‘Monsters’ is as heavy thematically as it is sonically. “’Monsters’ is about the demons that haunt you, and pull you down in dark moments,” vocalist Azaria Nasiri states. “It’s a song that for me is about what it means to be haunted by depression, but I think everyone will be able to relate to the monsters hiding in their own story.”

For guitarist Oli Arnold, the song strikes a particularly personal chord. “When I was about thirteen years old, my best friend died very suddenly,” he reveals. “The tragedy of that moment has shaped my life more than any other. I began suffering from panic attacks, and my parents weren’t capable of handling that situation. For a long time I didn’t feel connected to people. My childhood ended that day. It’s only now that I’m really able to begin to process that experience and to write about its impact on me.”

Nu metal from Warsaw? It’s been a while! Screeching scratches, building riffs, pissed-off raps—.bHP is back with their new single ‘Roadblock,’ and it’s pure energy to fuel your week. Two years after their self-titled album, this Warsaw band storms in, proving nu metal is still alive and kicking.

This track is a raw mix of anger and shifting dynamics, flowing like an energy drink straight into your brain. The riffs hit hard with rising aggression, while Asia’s vocals swing between melody and pure fury. Filipek and 44 tear it up on guitars, Martinez holds down the low end, and Igorek’s beats bring the punch. Bartek ties it all together with sharp, screeching scratches that give the sound that nostalgic nu metal edge.

The lyrics? Dirty, honest, and straight to the point: “There is a roadblock and we cannot solve it / It goes all the way down the road, pointless.” It’s a song about frustration—hitting walls that keep you from moving forward—but also about not backing down. It channels rage with a mix of self-awareness and brutal truth. [via Idioteq]

Not Enough Space‘s new track ‘Solace In Silence’ tackles themes of mental health, suicide awareness and coping with loss.

Explaining more about how these issues are revealed in the song, the band have shared: “‘Solace In Silence’ is a song dedicated to mental health, suicide awareness and the lasting impact on loved ones. The lyrical content explores the concept of losing yourself and wanting the voices in your head to silence themselves. Hence the title, ‘Solace In Silence.’ The track explores the aftermath of losing a loved one to suicide and the dangers of alcoholism as a means to cope with loss.” [via Rock Sound]

Irish alt metal artist Ailsha‘s final release to close out a successful year is ‘Call In A Minute’. The song is an alternative metal power anthem that was generated from a place of fear- as well as fun. Reflecting on her inability to successfully spend a night alone without calling a loved one with a panic attack of some sort, ‘Call In A Minute’ encapsulates the irrationality of these moments as well as the anxiety they can create. With lyrics like “I can’t stop using my phone, ’cause I’m scared of most things in this world”, ‘Call In A Minute’ playfully represents AILSHA’s experience with anxiety and how it can manifest into something bigger that ends up involving the loved ones in her life. In the artist’s own words; “‘I wanted to just make a song that I enjoyed making, and ‘Call In A Minute’ came from a place of fun. The majority of the song was made just by messing around on Logic late at night in my bedroom, and the lyrics initially made no sense. It was only by realising one day when I was by myself that I was calling my mam about something I was very irrationally worried about and I thought, hey, that’s a fun idea for a song- how I can’t just be on my own for a night without worrying about something. The song conveys a mixture between the silly side of the irrational anxiety I often experience as well as the panic attack side of it all, but in a way that makes it fun to perform live.”

Get ready for an all-consuming descent into the depths of sorrow and survival. Evig Natt is back with a new single, ‘Sorrow My World.’ The track, accompanied by a stunning video, is the second taste of what’s to come on the band’s upcoming album, Vaketimen. The track ‘Sorrow My World’ deals with grief and how it can be all-consuming, eating you up from the inside to the point of no return. With no hope of relief, there’s no way out but through. The video for ‘Sorrow My World’ portrays a girl who is consumed by a demon. She’s been marked by its hands and battling its hold over her. She traps the demon by drawing a pentagram of protection around her finally releasing it from her body.

Enemy Inside are surprising their fans with a brutal pre-Christmas present: the compact three-minute ‘Don’t Call Me An Angel’. The single follows the ultimate Halloween anthem, ‘Fuck That Party’ [feat. Zak Tell] and will also be featured on their upcoming album, Venom, which will be released on February 28 via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). There’s a message of immense importance behind ENEMY INSIDE’s latest track, making it an anchor for those struggling with mental health and self-care issues. Nastassja Giulia’s initial vocals lead to a heavenly chorus that lets the listener drift off into distant worlds – only to tear them out of their dreams shortly afterwards with cutting riffs before the band’s inner beast comes to light – also in the accompanying video. “’Don’t Call Me An Angel’ delves deep into the depths of depression and shows how this darkness can grip not only ourselves, but our loved ones as well. The song is an honest confession: a reminder that our inner struggles often affect the people around us and we inadvertently cause them pain. He describes the feeling of being caught in a whirlpool that drags others along, even though we want to protect them. ‘Don’t Call Me An Angel’ is both a warning and a silent cry for help: a haunting look at the hidden depths behind a smile.
LUNA KILLS have announced their debut album. Titled DEATHMATCH, the upcoming album from the Finnish alternative metalcore band is their debut full-length album, and is scheduled to be released in April next year, via SharpTone Records. Alongside the announcement of the debut album, the band have released a new music video for a new song lifted from the upcoming album; ‘sugar rush’. The new song is the second single to be released from the upcoming album, following on from slay ur enemies, which was released back in October. Speaking about the new single, the band shares, “’sugar rush’ captures the drive to pursue happiness in the face of persistent self-doubt. Centered around the struggle to find happiness despite a constant sense of never measuring up, the song delves into the pressures of a world that demands overachievement and monetization of everything, ultimately draining the joy from passions that once gave life meaning. At the time, before we started writing ‘sugar rush’, we had been working on other songs for a long period of time and we felt really exhausted and after multiple failed attempts of trying to force ourselves to focus, we felt that we needed to reset our brain and mindset. sugar rush became a powerful outlet for all that we were going through, a way to channel exhaustion and frustration with the pressures of perfectionism and constant productivity. The creative process itself almost became a form of catharsis, a reset, allowing us to confront those feelings directly and then transform them into something meaningful.” [via Distorted Sound]

ELUVEITIE have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘Premonition,’ is the brand new single from the Swiss folk metal band and marks their first new music since 2022’s Exile Of The Gods. Speaking about the new single, frontman Chrigel Glanzmann comments, “we’re beyond excited to finally open the door and unleash some new music! ‘Premonition’ comes in laying bare the heart and soul of ELUVEITIE‘s music, while transporting deep ancient wisdom of the Celtic into the modern age, wielding druidic words to point out the way through the deepest struggle within and all around ourselves. We hope you’ll enjoy this piece of music as much as we do ourselves!” [via Distorted Sound]

Oxford’s fast-rising nu-metal outfit Arimea have announced their forthcoming debut EP Orchid Street, due for release on November 28. Sharing their most treasured work to date, the refreshingly raw quartet have used their staple nu-metal approach to create a unique record, that’s new and exciting but nostalgic all at the same time. To coincide with the announcement of their debut EP, Arimea have also shared a brand-new single from the record titled, ‘Deliver Me’. Acting as a departure from previous writing methods, ‘Deliver Me’ has seen Arimea adding more electronic elements to their creative process which has naturally evolved as they draw more from the late 90’s and early 2000’s bands that shaped their collective sound. On new single, ‘Deliver Me’, vocalist Whitney Cooper mentions, “’Deliver Me’ is a fun song that glamorises exorcisms and the unspoken role of a deliverance minister. After reading the book ‘Deliverance’ by Jason Bray, I was engulfed into a world that I thought was only real in movies. The book had such a hold on me, I have always been a believer in the supernatural from a very young age. ‘Deliver Me’ takes aspects of the book and twists them into a hollywood-esque exorcism, a picturesque scene bursting with horror and power. This is one of my favourite tracks on the EP.”

French modern metal act Pyrah is thrilled to announce the release of their latest video for the single ‘End Of The Slope,’ taken from the critically acclaimed album Veni Vidi Delevi, available now via Wormholedeath. Known for their powerful blend of aggressive riffs and emotionally charged lyrics, Pyrah delivers a fresh take on modern metal with a fierce, unmistakable edge. ‘End of the Slope’ takes you deep into the shadows of regret and emotional torment. A relentless cycle of guilt, haunting memories, and suffocating isolation—fear and hope collide in this extreme metal journey. Prepare to face the darkness within.

Luna Kills have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘slay ur enemies,’ is the brand new single from the Finnish alternative metalcore band and its release comes as the band sign with SharpTone Records. The new single was mixed and mastered by Jeff Dunne [MAKE THEM SUFFER, KNOCKED LOOSE, ICE NINE KILLS, DISTURBED]. Speaking about the new single, vocalist Lotta Ruutiainen shares, “’slay ur enemies’ describes an inner dialogue and feelings during a panic attack. Mostly the lyrics depict the hopelessness of those emotions, but also the will to fight & endure and survive this absolute nightmare. The song actually pretty much wrote itself right before we hit the studio. We listened to the demo in the middle of the night, thinking either we had all collectively lost our sanity, or the song was a fucking banger.” [via Distorted Sound]

German symphonic metal icons, Xandria, are about to chart new paths with their epic upcoming nine-track EP, Universal Tales, out on November 22 via Napalm Records. This EP follows the success of their latest top 10 charting album (German charts), The Wonders Still Awaiting (2023), which introduced an impressive new line up featuring the fantastic Ambre Vourvahis, who stuns audiences with her vocal talent that blends elements of rock grit, operatic highs and even growls. This fresh sounding masterpiece highlights Xandria’s reinvention by elevating their trademarks to a new level, setting the bar for modern symphonic metal while presenting four brand new majestic songs that showcase the band’s refined versatility and impressive intensity. Xandria unveils the new offering of the upcoming EP, ‘No Time To Live Forever’, together with a visually stunning official music video. Driving drums and fast-paced riffs underscore the dramatic lyrics of the apparent loss of reason in the world and the rise of chaos, while the five-piece aligns with their signature sound of impressive orchestral interludes and the majestic operatic highs of vocalist Ambre. Xandria on the new single ‘No Time To Live Forever’: “You already know ‘Universal’ from our upcoming EP, and after receiving such overwhelmingly positive feedback from you, it is now time for ‘No Time To Live Forever’. If you loved the bombastic choirs and operatic vocals in ‘Universal’, you are in for a treat with this one… prepare for a ride.” [via Brave New Words]

April Art’s latest single ‘Burn’ was released last week coinciding with the debut of its official music video. The track features on the band’s new album Rodeo, out now. ‘Burn’ delves into themes of inner turmoil and past trauma. The lyrics paint a picture of an individual grappling with haunting memories, feelings of betrayal, and a daily struggle against internal voices. The song’s narrative conveys a sense of isolation and ongoing emotional battles. [via Metal Cue]

Lacuna Coil are looking to take your breath away with their latest atmospheric single. With that in mind, it’s only fitting that the Italian metal veterans’ newest number is called ‘Oxygen.’ The new track follows the recent ‘Hoisting the Shadow’ collaboration with Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe, and it will be a part of the band’s newly confirmed tenth album, Sleepless Empire. This time around, vocal phenom Cristina Scabbia is handling the mic with elemental whimsy (“My breath is getting lighter/I float on crimson waters”) as the rest of the band leans into an outsized and epic arrangement. “‘Oxygen’ is a powerful exploration of emotional struggle and inner conflict,” Scabbia commented. “The lyrics convey a sense of drowning in a toxic environment… where attempts at salvation, represented by ‘oxygen’ are somehow futile. This song encapsulates the feeling of struggling to break free from what holds us down, when the journey is filled with difficulty. It’s a raw anthem of vulnerability, resilience and the courage to face what seems insurmountable.” As for the newly unveiled music video, which the band had been teasing on Instagram over the past week via a series of liquid-y snippets, it accordingly taps into that aqueous lyrical energy with dramatically plunging visuals and near-death experiences. Scabbia added that staying in the water through the shoot was “cathartic,” and you can drink in the visuals below. [via Revolver]

Lauren Babic has released her new single ‘Let It Die’. The track showcases Babic’s vocals alongside guitars by Adam Bentley, who also served as the mixing engineer. Lee Albrecht handled the mastering duties for the song. ‘Let It Die’ evolved from a demo originally titled ‘Hypermetal’ by Adam Bentley. Babic and Bentley collaborated to expand on this initial concept, incorporating a nu-metal inspired bridge into the final version. Lyrically, the song draws from Babic’s personal experiences, aiming to create a more intimate and relatable connection with listeners. [via Metal Cue]
