On the track, Queen Anne’s Katie Silverman says: “The most important thing to know about ‘baby girl’ is that the lyrics aren’t literally true. I actually hate lying, and my mother knows everything about me.

“The most challenging part of the process was honestly naming the song. no song, to my knowledge, has ever gone through so many iterations, maybe ever. We couldn’t have sheriff in the title because no one knew how to spell it, and I didn’t want to call attention to “strawberry ice cream” because I’m publicly out as being lactose intolerant, which puts me in an awkward position with big dairy. Ultimately we picked ‘baby girl (likes to lie)’ because nobody was strongly in favor of it, and sometimes, in art, it’s important for everyone to be a little bit upset with the outcome.”

Speaking about the track, Queen Anne’s Katie Silverman says: “The inspiration for ‘Watch Me Win It’ came when i had like three victory points in my hand during a game of Catan and nobody had the slightest clue. they all pretty much counted me out because i only had a couple settlements, but then I built a city and turned over my development cards and that was that. if anyone asks, though, it’s about something really cool. like poker, maybe. or gymnastics.”

Speaking about the track, Queen Anne’s Katie Silverman says: “All my music is open to interpretation, because I can’t really enforce what people take away from it. But ‘Lexi Loves Me,’ in particular, is more about that sick, desperate feeling in the pit of your stomach than the specifics of the relationship or the expired sushi that brought you there. To me, the song is about a person pulling away from a relationship because they’re having a metaphorical affair with their own mental health, because those are the kinds of things that have been on my mind. But “Lexi” could also totally be a real human person with a body and everything. I’m not going to rule that out.”
