A mesmerising and upbeat offering, ‘Heart To Heartbreak’ explores the dizzying highs and fragile lows of modern romance, capturing the struggle of finding creative inspiration when being weighed down by emotional exhaustion. Drawing inspiration from the emotional depth of The Cure and Prefab Sprout, the track is built on gorgeous, interwoven layers of guitar and synth. These intricate elements are brought to three-dimensional life by Walton’s band, elevating the track with a powerful new sense of sonic cohesion.

“This is a song about feeling like everything in your life has shattered but realising that relationship was holding you back and the world is opening up”, Walton says. “I wanted this song to feel really visual, like things are starting to sparkle and look colourful again.”

The wide-eyed, heartfelt ‘Halfway Round The World’, depicts the arc of a burgeoning relationship “as being like a light weaving just above the ground”. “A lot is to do with light. I view these songs as being on a high-up plain,” Walton continues. “My reality a lot of the time is of walking around with my head in the clouds so that, to me, is normal.”

Best known as one half of Norwich experimental pop duo Let’s Eat Grandma, Walton now opens a new creative chapter with a record that expands her sonic world while remaining rooted in heartfelt vulnerability and bold ambition.

New single ‘Sorry Anyway’, which was premiered by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 6 Music, captures that spirit perfectly. Built around sparkling pop hooks and a playful yet defiant energy, the track sees Walton embracing imperfection and authenticity, delivering the standout lyric: “If you want the lightning / There’s gonna be thunderbolts and rain.” It’s one of the album’s most immediate moments, balancing emotional honesty with euphoric uplift.

“The idea of doing a solo project was never about stepping away or doing something on my own for the sake of it”, Walton says. “It started as writing to process things and stay grounded, and it grew into something shaped by the people around me and the joy of making music together.”

About ‘Sorry Anyway’, Rosa continues, “This song is about not letting anyone hold you back, whether in a relationship or in chasing your ambitions. It’s about doing your own thing, embracing who you are, and not caring about fitting into boxes, and also trying to inspire others to have this attitude. We had fun making it –  it’s the flippant, messiness that makes the song, and it was also the beginning of a new vocal style for me. I’m owning all parts of myself.”

Rosa said the following about the track: “’Turning Up The Flowers’ is a song about the world feeling very bright and alive, and the people you love being grounding through this, but also uplifting them to be able to see it. It draws parallels between nature, light and connection between people, with the idea that they are all so intertwined and at the core almost all the same thing. It’s about both looking at nature and feeling close to someone you love, and nature looking more beautiful because of them.”
