Out today, ‘End Of The World’ continues to build on Saint Sappho’s expansive, shoegaze-slanted sound. With skywards, spiraling guitars, powerful percussive grooves and a blistering guitar solo, ‘End Of The World’ evokes the feeling of driving down a dusky highway, as multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Zoe Young and drummer Tammy Dyson harness the emotive nostalgia of classic 90s alt-rock while imbuing the track with their own unique, contemporary approach.

The origins of ‘End Of The World’ were formed in Spain, where the pair were on location to shoot a music video. On the road with views of the mountains, sea and incoming waves, the line “not the end of the world” stuck in Zoe’s head. The resulting track captures the spaciousness of new perspectives, with the dynamic melody and heady vocals encapsulating the beautiful spontaneity of the moment.
