Bay Area singer-songwriter LOUIZA continues to blur the lines between alt-pop, folk-rock and grunge-tinged indie with her forthcoming EP Like a Queen. Exploring grief through a spectrum of emotions, the record reflects on identity, ambition and the importance of embracing every part of ourselves rather than striving for perfection.

Her single ‘Eileena’ examines what happens when we become so attached to one version of ourselves that we lose sight of our humanity. Blending delicate folk influences with LOUIZA’s emotionally charged songwriting, the track offers a thoughtful meditation on identity, loss and self-discovery.

Inspired by the socially conscious spirit of Dischord Records, the quartet combine sharp political commentary with energetic, inventive musicianship.

Latest single ‘The Richest Witches of the West’ channels frustration at inequality, corruption and systems of oppression into a powerful punk anthem. Fusing hardcore energy with funk-inspired grooves and experimental flourishes, the track proves that politically charged music can be both thought-provoking and irresistibly fun.

Having collaborated with a host of acclaimed artists throughout her career, the album marks a deeply personal new chapter built around introspection, uncertainty and connection.

At the heart of the record is ‘Spell It Out’, a playful yet poignant track that questions our desire for certainty and easy answers.
Lead single ‘Not Like You’ combines dreamy shoegaze textures, operatic vocals and Kristeen’s unmistakable piano work to challenge the labels society places on people. Blending orchestral flourishes with contemporary pop sensibilities, her music creates immersive worlds that feel both intimate and cinematic.

Focus track ‘Gracefire’ unfolds through groove-led basslines and driving production, imagining the moment a planet breaks free from the orbit that once sustained it.
