Fusing together elements of hard rock, grunge, shoegaze and nu metal, ‘Paraphernalia’ encapsulates all emotions and sends the listener on a wild ride. The loud and eerie guitar tones recorded by Olivia Bovolato are backed with an unstoppable driving force from Tayla Basso on the bass. While the unearthly vocals and dark lyrics by Karina Walsh provide a moody atmosphere of despair and pain, Emma Papa’s intricate drumming complicates the mood and provides a groovy back-beat.
