‘Scorpio’, released today on Sirene’s birthday, celebrates her star sign. Scorpios often get a bad rep and the song explores the insecurities behind the traits of being “brave”, “loyal” and “ambitious”.

‘Luii’ is the first of her “boys” to be released. The song is a dark tale of a 24-hour whirlwind romance set in Sicily.

She says, “I seem to attract a certain type of person, someone who keeps me on my toes and entertained, or at least they’re the ones I end up writing about. I love when the universe leads me to humans who inspire songs like this.”

The new single ‘Don’t Let Me Fall (Out Your Mind)’ is about willing the ones you love the most not to forget about you, when you feel like you’re not doing your best for them. This upbeat summer bop will be part of Sirene’s EP Turn The TV Up which is coming out in Autumn this year.

Written on Valentine’s Day, in the peak of a drink-fuelled lockdown, the lament reminisces on a debaucherous and thrilling romance with a recently deceased ex-lover. Taking form as his obituary, ‘Demon & I’ celebrates an indulgent relationship of late nights, parties and the repercussions that often come hand in hand with such a lifestyle.

During lockdown at her parent’s house, spending endless time reflecting on relationships gained and lost, Sirene began writing about conversations that she’s never had. These pandemic postcards were sent to a rural countryside studio where she spent two weeks working closely with producer Gus White. The resulting project is an accumulation of melancholic, frank accounts. A discovery of unknown strength in the face of adversity.

During the pandemic, with endless time to reflect on relationships gained and lost, Sirene began writing about conversations which have never happened. These pandemic postcards were sent to a rural studio in the countryside of England, where the seven track EP was recorded with producer Gus White.

Following ‘Here You Are’ released last month, ‘Unfurl’ is a contrasting story from Sirene and the closing chapter of the same relationship. “‘Unfurl’ is about the feeling of disconnecting from your identity when leaving someone who you’ve shared so much with,” she explains. “It’s a song about adapting and trying to claw back the version of yourself that you were before you met, doused in concern that that person no longer exists.”
