“‘Blowout’ started with a riff idea I thought would fit well with what Zach and I were writing,” says Jessi Knop. “The lyrics came to me when I was sick with a high fever. It felt like any noises I’d hear sort of appeared as a flash in my vision, even though it was actually a sound. Made me think of my inner wiring malfunction.”
