The band explain: “This track peers through the eyes of someone who’s come back to life, only to see the world with a sharper, almost unbearable clarity. European (Prague, CZ) modern metal band Stellvris has dropped their latest single, ‘Silence After Violence,’ a searing anthem from their upcoming EP Shatter and Bloom, set to release on November 7. Produced by Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay, Caskets) at Sawdust Recordings, the track delivers a visceral punch, confronting the rising aggression in society and channeling it into a cathartic, high-voltage experience.

Italian modern metal act Secret Rule presents their new single ‘In The Silence’, the latest chapter leading up to the release of their upcoming album X, out October 24 via Rockshots Records.

Following the impactful ‘Just a Sacrifice’, the environmental call of ‘Echoes of the Earth’ and the emotional depth of ‘Silent Pain’, this new single turns inward, exploring the dialogue with our inner self—the quietest voice that often carries the most strength.

Canadian chaos-makers Sumo Cyco are back to prove that “boring” is not in their vocabulary with their new single ‘Boring’, a mix of team vocals, driving riffs, and their signature mash-up of metal, punk, and pop mayhem.

Far from its tame title, ‘Boring’ is a rallying cry for anyone feeling stuck in the grind of daily life. “This song is about the challenge to keep the adventure going in the face of routine and the predictable,” says Skye. “Life can feel like a grind, but we always have the choice to be vibrant and push ourselves outside of our comfort zones.”

Following a few feverishly-received singles, Vegas-based sister duo The Pretty Wild have now announced the details behind their first full-length release, zero.point.genesis. Better yet, they’ve done so by unveiling a genre-obliterating single called ‘PARADOX’ that’s absolutely befitting of the band’s moniker.

The new tune is the band’s fourth original single of 2025, and follows viral smashes like ‘Button Eyes’. As some of their recent work, ‘PARADOX’ presents plenty of cross-pollination, with the tune finding the group’s Jyl and Jules bouncing from melodic croons, to hyper-aggro screams to highly-caffeinated, triplet-spat rap bars. VINTERSEA return with another fantastic new song and video for their latest composition ‘Become The Wave.’ The Portland-based outfit, fronted by new vocalist Kayla Dixon, are currently one of the most inspiring and adventurous groups bubbling under.

“If ‘Celestial Abscission’ was our big bang out of the gate to show the world what VINTERSEA can do with our new vocalist (Kayla Dixon), ‘Become the Wave’ is a statement about where VINTERSEA is headed and what we want our music to represent,” states guitarist Riley Nix. “In some ways it is a return to form – melodic, brutal, groovy, and inspiring – but it is also different from anything you have heard from us before. Kayla brought huge energy, heartfelt performances, and some really unique tones that drove the song in a fresh direction from the outset.”

“I am super excited for people to scope out the video for ‘Become the Wave.’ We built a unique set in my garage, explored epic locations at the Oregon Coast, and tried a few things we have never done before,” explains Karl. “This is classic VINTERSEA, but with some new moves. Kayla crushed the vocal performance, and used techniques I’ve never heard before. We’ve played this song live on our last couple of tours, and it kills every show. I can’t wait for you all to hear what we can do.”

Arch Enemy is doing the whole “release a bunch of new songs as part of a deluxe version of their latest album” thing with the digital deluxe edition of Blood Dynasty. The new version of the record features ‘Break the Spell’, ‘Moths’, and ‘Lachrymatory’; the first of which you can stream right now. It’s certainly a song by Arch Enemy in 2025.

AS EVERYTHING UNFOLDS have released a brand new music video. The new single, titled ‘POINT OF VIEW,’ is the second track to be released following the UK post-hardcore band’s recent signing to Century Media Records. It follows on from ‘SET IN FLOW,’ which was released back in June.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Charlie Rolfe shares, “you give everything you have, your whole being, your whole life, to help someone but it’s never enough if they don’t want to help themselves. I really struggled to understand how someone close to me couldn’t see my point of view in the awful situation we were in. They were angry when I helped, they were angry when I gave them space, they were angry when I stayed, they were angry when I left.”

She continues, “it destroyed my confidence and my self worth having to live in an environment where nothing I ever did was good enough. It hurts deeply to watch what can only be described as a car crash in slow motion, being unable to stop it but just having the strength to walk away and value your own mental health, your own sanity helped me gain back a small amount of those parts of me I lost. I really hope that some day, that person can listen to this song, and truly understand what it was like to be in that situation from my point of view.”

Brighton-based metal four-piece KNIFE BRIDE have released a killer new single ‘TERRITORY’, as they gear up to head off on tour around the UK with Defects and Profiler later this month. Influenced by the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox and Evanescence, ‘TERRITORY’ brings frontwoman Mollie Clack’s impassioned and compelling vocal to the fore. Mollie says “’Territory’ is a love song, believe it or not. It was written after a hostile exchange and I see it as a kind of diary entry, I guess. It’s very dramatic and purging and really highlights how crazy love can make you.”

Jinjer have announced their upcoming fifth album, Duél, and offered up a new song, the haunting ‘Kafka.’ In contrast to preceding singles ‘Rogue’ and ‘Someone’s Daughter,’ which lean into the Ukrainian band’s heavier, djent-ier inclinations, the latest cut is a slower-burning power ballad — though it does ultimately erupt into crushing riffery and roaring vocals, the latter of courtesy of powerhouse vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk. The song arrived along with a striking video featuring artwork and animation by Oleksii Zatserkovnyi. Shmayluk commented of ‘Kafka’: “Being an artist is sometimes beautiful but most of the time it’s brutal… as our art is dissected word for word and ripped apart note by note, we‘re expected to be on point all-the-time … and when we aren’t, we are scandalized. A true artist is vulnerable but the crowd is most often plagued with vultures who pick at every single move you make. It’s a slippery slope when music means the world to us but how quickly praise turns into prosecution… We are all Kings and Queens for a day but most of the time it feels like a Kafka novel for a lifetime. LEAGUE OF DISTORTION have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘Crucify Me’, is taken from the German modern metal band’s new album, Galvanize, which is out now via Napalm Records. Melodic extreme-metal band Vintersea has revealed their first single, ‘Celestial Abscission,’ with newly announced singer Kayla Dixon (Witch Mountain, Dress The Dead). Floridian melodic metalcore band Not Enough Space have signed with Thriller Records. ENTHEOS have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘Return To Me’, is taken from the American progressive death metal band’s new EP, An End To Everything, which was released on Friday, via Metal Blade Records. ENEMY INSIDE have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘Fuck That Party’, is the brand new single from the German alternative/symphonic metal band and follows on from their previous single, ‘Should Have Known Better’, which was released last month. The new single was once again mixed and mastered by Christoph Wieczorek of ANNISOKAY (Sawdust Recordings) and its accompanying music video was produced by the group’s loyal companion Jonas Sommer. It’s based on a concept and story written by creative frontwoman Nastassja Giulia, and takes fans to the band’s own chamber of horrors. Speaking about the new song and its accompanying music video, the band shares, “’Fuck That Party’ featuring Zak Tell from CLAWFINGER brings nu and modern metal together. RedHook have given fans another glimpse of their upcoming new album with the snarling ‘Bomb.com’. With Mutation set for release on November 22, the track arrives ahead of their swiftly approaching UK dates with Dream State. Speaking on ‘Bomb.com’, vocalist Emmy Mack has shared: “‘Bomb.com’ is basically just a big fun diss track about an egomaniacal dude in the music industry who likes to talk a lot of shit, particularly about female-fronted bands. Lame AF behaviour that we felt compelled to take the living piss out of. Craig also added these really sick synths for extra hype that were inspired by that song ‘Like A G6’. Finnish band Memoremains drop a new song on the airwaves. The five-piece has already released the singles ‘Toxic Girl’ and ‘Stuck’ earlier this year, but the recently released ‘Fighter’ is a bit different. “Compared to previous singles, ‘Fighter’ is a bit deeper and more atmospheric. As for the vocals, we also searched for new sounds to emphasize the nuances of the composition. In the lyrics, I wanted to deal with friendship and a situation where a loved one is in a challenging place in their life and needs support in making difficult choices. If only the song would bring a touch of hope to the gloom of autumn for the listeners as well !” singer Johanna Ahonen states. The song was also made into a music video with the help of a well-known author. “Aarni Visuals made a music video for us from our 2022 Nummirock show recording for the single ‘Empire’ from the album Pop Metal, and we remembered how efficient he worked and how good the result was. We asked him about his interest in making the music video for ‘Fighter’, and luckily he agreed to cooperate. Rising phenom Amira Elfeky has a gravely booming nu-gaze single to get us through the spooky season. Filled with a mix of goth-romantic bleakness, detuned guitar melancholy and heavy existential dread, her latest track is fittingly titled ‘Will You Love Me When I’m Dead.’ The single marks Elfeky’s first release since last June’s ‘Remains of Us’ collaboration with Scarlet House. This time around, the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter teamed-up with producers/musicians Zakk Cervini and Andrew Goldstein to drill into this dark-edged, but dreamy piece. ‘Will You Love Me When I’m Dead’ bounces between a driving, early Deftones-like groove, some lightly twitching electronica, and a gravesite disturbing breakdown finale. Lyrically, Elfeky whispers and soars through emotions-draining relationship drama (“You tasted like honey / So sweet when you stung me”), the frustration of putting in more than you’re getting back (“Every bone I break for you…will never be enough”) and more. The new year introduced a new era for RinRin, and ‘FCKNRUN’ is the third offering in the new narrative, and the third in a string of fantasy-fuelled releases. Previous singles ‘im sad lol’ and ‘PRN’ explored the dystopian and fictional story of Rin, based on real life – a multiverse where ‘variants’ of RinRin reside in alternate worlds, leading different lives that reflect true feelings. The latest offering, ‘FCKNRUN,’ represents a version of RinRin that sees her take on the role of serial casanova, where attachment is her greatest enemy. The song oozes confidence, traversing through self assured verses with driving undertones before a vulnerable and emotive outro pairs lyrically with traces of guilt. [via Heavy]

Naarm/Melbourne’s The Last Martyr have just dropped EP Requiem, packed with soaring, soul-stirring metal. Mixed by Chris Lalic (Windwaker, Days Like These), it’s an explosive collection, an apocalyptic exploration of what happens when we disrespect and disregard Mother Nature. Frontwoman Monica Strut explains: “The Requiem EP is about the human species’ journey towards, throughout and after the apocalypse. It touches on themes of denial, destruction, control, fear, love and more. U.K. mathcore trio Pupil Slicer are gearing up to release their sophomore album, Blossom, which is already sounding like a major level-up from their also-great 2021 debut, Mirrors. Last month, they dropped the record’s grunge-y, head-spinning title track, and now they’ve unveiled another, much heavier single called ‘No Temple.’ The track begins with a touch of drum ‘n’ bass before the band comes roaring in with their own jagged rhythms, blistering guitar work, and the spine-cracking power of singer-guitarist Kate Davies’ vocals. Pupil Slicer cap this new single off with a new video that tells a quick and bloody sci-fi horror tale that takes unfolds while the band is roaring away onstage. “Blossom is a story that encapsulates a wide gamut of intense emotions and a rollercoaster of events over the 47-minute runtime,” Davies said about the new album. “Likewise, the musical elements are also equally diverse whilst maintaining a cohesion to what’s going on at that point in the album. The feedback we received for our first single has been overwhelmingly positive but let’s face it — not what a lot of people were expecting from a band named ‘Pupil Slicer’. The Hellfreaks have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘PBSS,’ is taken from the Hungarian punk band’s upcoming new album, Pitch Black Sunset, which is out now. Speaking about the song and its accompanying music video, the band says, “today we also reveal the video for the abbreviated title track: ‘PBSS,’ which covers the most meaningful opposites: LIFE AND DEATH. The song is about thanatophobia, the fear of the death of a loved one and the common sense of impending doom. Vintersea premiere their new single and music video titled ‘Unveiling Light’, taken from the group’s upcoming new studio full-length Woven Into Ashes, due out on May 5 through M-Theory Audio. The clip was once again directed by the band’s bassist Karl Whinnery. Explains guitarist Riley Nix: “When we set out to write this album, we challenged ourselves to make the brutal music heavier, and the beautiful music more breathtaking. What I didn’t know is that we would be doing both on the same song! ‘Unveiling Light‘ highlights the extremes of what we do, and I think it is going to stick with people in a very primal way.” Adds Whinnery: “‘Unveiling Light‘ kicks our new album off in proper fashion so we knew we wanted the video to match that vibe – chaotic, dissonant, and full of intense energy – but with splashes of beauty and depth. As far as our songs go, the song is pretty stripped down, so we wanted to match that with the video and keep it focused on performance. The Buffalo hardcore band Spaced hasn’t been around for long, but they’ve come out of the gate with a vengeance. The band’s sound is straight-up hardcore, done with bounce and verve and swagger, with enough little stretches to set them apart — catchy melodic bits, smeary reverb, blazing guitar solos. Frontwoman Lexi Reyngoudt is a charismatic force of nature. Spaced formed during the pandemic and dropped their demo in 2021. They followed that release with a steady stream of short releases, and they collected all their songs on the LP Spaced Jams last year.
