]]> Wishy are back to announce their sophomore LP Nature’s Pill (out October 2 on Winspear). To mark the occasion they are sharing the album’s lead single ‘Lovesick,’ a swooning gem sung by Nina Pitchkites that recalls The Cure at their most pop-forward and The Sundays at their buoyant best.

Pitchkites says of the track: “There’s not much more that needs to be said about yearning in 2026, but here it is anyway. Kevin and I are stupidly romantic people who like twee pop so that combination alone was a recipe for a cheeky “main character” song. We really leaned into the overzealous lyrics here because 1) we’re allowed, 2) can do whatever we want and 3) it’s fun 🙂 yay!”

In addition to previously announced August tour dates with The Beths and Beach Bunny, Wishy are announcing a run of headline dates that will take them across the US in the fall.

]]> Following a largely sold out US headline tour in November and December, Wishy recently announced a run supporting Momma that begins in May, and now the band are announcing a new six-song EP titled Planet Popstar (due out April 25 on Winspear), a dreamy and pop-forward compilation of b-side tracks that was recorded in the same sessions that birthed their sebut LP Triple Seven. To mark the announce the band are sharing the single ‘Fly,’ alongside a video shot during their 2024 tours.

Wishy’s latest offering is a sun-soaked, hazy reflection on the band’s central themes–love, life, self-discovery and having fun. It’s a compilation of tracks that, when presented as a unit, shows another side of the band’s kaleidoscopic sound that deftly plays with nostalgia and genre. “We really wanted to lean into the high-production style and had a lot of fun in the studio using these songs as an opportunity to explore a more polished, adult-contemporary feel” says singer/guitarist Kevin Krauter.

Pitchkites says of the track: “This song conveys a general theme of enjoying the present, being in love, and not taking yourself too seriously. Me, Kevin, and Steve Marino co-wrote this song around the same time we wrote the track ‘Triple Seven’. It was one of several demos that Steve brought to the table for us to toy with.”
