Alternative folk singer songwriter Chloe Foy releases her new single ‘Blinkers’, showcasing a heavier dimension to her sound. The track is a tongue-in-cheek takedown of her past relationship, written while grappling with depression. The song emerges as an angry, electric-guitar-driven manifesto for communication that stems from being misunderstood by her former partner.
Chloe speaks on the single, “Blinkers’ is my way of finally letting out the frustration that had been building up. It’s a raw, unapologetic reflection of a time when I felt misunderstood. It’s about the need for honest communication, and the catharsis that comes with expressing what’s been held inside for too long. Working with Dave Izumi at Echo Zoo Studios helped shape the track’s raw, rock-infused sound, which is a departure from my usual style. It’s especially personal, as it was produced by the ex-partner I wrote the song about—making the whole experience both challenging and cathartic.”
