CLT SPT (CLITSPIT) are a Leeds-based, rampaging, noisy punk band who centre their music around the intersectional feminist movement with impactful yet playful lyricism, not being afraid to tackle difficult subjects and demand change.

Anticipated debut single ‘HANDLE IT’ sets the tone just right for displaying CLT SPT’s unforgiving yet spirited spin on modern Riot Grrrl punk. Taking lyrical inspiration from sordid and misogynistic first hand interactions the feminist trio have endured , ‘Handle It’ is a solid middle finger to smug comments trickling down from the patriarchy. Vocalist Ash Froud’s shrieks are mirrored sonically by cascading guitars and riotous drums, pivoting the band from a must see live act on the Leeds scene to exciting and refreshing recording artists.

Speaking further on the single, Ash comments: “’HANDLE IT’ is comprised of outlandish quotes that men, from lovers to friends, coworkers to strangers, have said to my face. Believe it or not. If they feel comfortable enough to say it to my face, I feel comfortable with immortalising it in a song for the world to hear.”
