The name on everyone’s tongue, Girl Tones today releases their latest new single ‘Got It.’ Grinding, harsh and positively filthy, the song sees sisters Kenzie and Laila confidently taunting anyone who dares to stand in their paths. Released via Parallel Vision and Big Loud Rock, Girl Tones continue to cement themselves as what’s next in rock music.
On today’s single, Kenzie shared, “‘Got It’ is a very charged song for me. It was born out of anger and defiance. Ultimately it is about holding your ground in the face of uncertainty, and taking that leap of faith to fulfill your dreams.”
Shot frame by frame and completely hand-crafted by artist Chloe Tyler, the ‘Got It’ stop-motion video is essentially a demented arts and crafts project. Drawing from the duo’s primary color aesthetic and leaning into the look of classic I Spy books and gaming tables, there are meticulous lyrical Easter eggs throughout. Deceivingly cutesy, much like Girl Tones, each replay of the video reveals dozens of new elements to latch onto.
