Hysteria emerge with new single ‘Angela’

Los Angeles band Hysteria, the project of bandleader Dakota Cosgrove, is excited to share their new single, ‘Angela,’ available everywhere now.

A demanding melody cuts through guitars that both twinkle and scrape, inching towards collapse—finding reprieve in huge and powerful choruses with drums that kick the listener around like a bloody game of soccer. The release sees the group charging forth with matter-of-fact musings and raw tones, fitting tender honesty into spaces between raucous riffs. Picking up right where they left off, embracing their love of early-aughts pop rock with their own modern twist.   The song was produced by Photographic Memory, who contributes to bands like Wisp, Jane Remover and more.

“Every moment is both an ascension and a decline, leaving you face down on the ground,” Dakota explains. “Angela is the year of your life you want to erase, a desperate cry to be loved, that sick desire to be broken and put back together. Angela is the girl who you let destroy you.”
