Leah Cleaver lets go of inhibition with impulse-driven new single ‘Get You Home’

Leah Cleaver returns with her latest single ‘Get You Home’, as her undeniable star power continues to establish her as one of alt-pop’s most exciting new voices. ‘Get You Home’ follows her debut ‘Last Time’, a humid late-night anthem, and the shimmering follow-up ‘Have You Ever’.’Get You Home’ serves as a continuation of the world she is building for her debut EP set to arrive on October 3 via PACE .

The playful pop-funk instrumentation of ‘Get You Home’ adds a layer of risqué sophistication, with groovy off-canvas side stick drums flirting with the curious bass, Leah’s captivating vocals delivering an audible pull. Her delivery and novel-like storytelling are designed to evoke flashbacks of first-time romantic encounters. Leah describes ‘Get You Home’ as “beyond cheeky, and I don’t know if it’s because of the groove.” To her, the song captures the essence of “the classic house party, exchanging boring conversations with people you don’t really want to chat to, but every time you meet eyes with that one person, electricity runs through your body. It’s a cheeky game of cat and mouse.”
