Loud Tiger shows resilience on new single ‘Cactus’

After several years marked by hardship and heavy life moments, Loud Tiger has channelled her fighting spirit into ‘Cactus’ – an Americana-infused pop song where sun-soaked tones and desert landscapes set the stage for a story about rising through adversity.

The title ‘Cactus’ was carefully chosen: like the plant that survives on minimal nourishment and thrives in extreme climates, the song represents resilience, endurance, and beauty in harsh conditions: “The challenges of recent years led to periods of deep despair, but ‘Cactus’ is about refusing to give up. It’s about the things I do to stay afloat and a reminder of my own strength. Every time I listen to it, it brings me joy – and I hope it can do the same for others,” she shares.

‘Cactus’ marks the beginning of a new chapter for Loud Tiger – and the first step towards her upcoming third album, set for release in autumn 2025. Drawing from the American roots tradition with a distinctly pop edge, the song is an energetic blend of Americana, soul, and sunshine that hits both emotionally and physically.

With its catchy melody and dusty vibe, the song evokes artists like Lissie, Grace Potter, and Jungle, showing how Viktoria Siff brought some of Americana’s spirit back home after five years in L.A.

‘Cactus’ was produced in collaboration with Simon Luth (Hjalmer, Ida Corr, Nik&Jay, Carpark North) and Asger Møller (Billy Cross, Sko/Torp, Carpark North, Yellowbellies, and Nikolaj & Piloterne).
