MAY-A digs her ‘Claws’ in with biting new single

Over the last two years, MAY-A has travelled back-and-forth between Sydney and LA, finding inspiration, working with top tier musicians and discovering new sounds to help carefully curate her next era of music, her best era of music.

Now, the genre-defying artist announces her debut album, Goodbye (If You Call That Gone), will be released on February 13, 2026.

Fans have been treated to another taste of the forthcoming record, with the release of ‘Claws’ and its official video. It follows last month’s guitar-led pop rock queer anthem ‘(I’m here for the) GIRLS’ and ‘[REDACTED]’, which launched MAY-A’s new music in September.

On ‘Claws’, she states, “This song is about being under-estimated and under-appreciated. Feeling betrayed in general, feeling like justice is never served. It’s about getting your bite back after feeling wronged.”
