‘Heretic (feat. Kim Dracula)’ marks the first new music to be released from the GRAMMY® Award-nominated Los Angeles band’s upcoming as-yet-untitled ninth album and debut for Better Noise Music.

Spanish rock band Strangers share their new visualizer video ‘Still The One’, taken from the upcoming studio album, entitled Boundless, out on August 22 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Australian heavy metal titans TEMTRIS return with the blistering new single ‘Scars Of Betrayal’, the second offering from their highly anticipated eighth studio album, Queen of Crows, due for release on August 8 via Wormholedeath.

Hamilton and Toronto-based Sumo Cyco have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called NEON VOID and will be out on October 24. The album features 12 songs, including their previously released single ‘Villains’. The band has also released a video for their new song ‘Shivers’ which was directed and produced by lead singer Skye Sweetnam.

ENEMY INSIDE have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘Innocent’, is taken from the German alternative/symphonic metal band’s brand new album, Venom, which was released back in February, via Reigning Phoenix Music. The single was previously only available as part of the physical edition of the album.

Speaking about the single, the band shares, “it’s a song about guilt, hypocrisy, and the human tendency to judge others while ignoring our own flaws. Inspired by the biblical quote ‘Let he who is without sin cast the first stone,’ it’s a reminder that before we point fingers, we should take a hard look at ourselves.”

BURNING WITCHES have released a new music video. The new music video, for the track ‘High Priestess Of The Night,’ is taken from the Swiss heavy metal band’s upcoming new album, Inquisition, which is scheduled to be released in August this year, via Napalm Records.

Speaking about the new song, the band shares, “we chose this good-vibed yet still heavy-themed, catchy mid-tempo song as a second single. This will be an ear catcher and a hip shaker for sure at live shows. This song is a must for everybody… it’s simple but it’s also the way of every metalhead. If you are a metalhead, you will like ‘High Priestess Of The Night’!”

BLACKBRIAR have released a brand new single. The new music video, for the track ‘A Last Sigh Of Bliss,’ is taken from the Dutch symphonic metal band’s upcoming album A Thousand Little Deaths, which is scheduled to be released in August this year, via Nuclear Blast Records.

Speaking about the new song, vocalist Zora Cock says, “as the scent of honeysuckle drifts into your bedroom window on a warm summer’s night, this song intoxicates you into a fever dream. Like a bee drowning in honey, you know you’ll die, and yet, you ache for nothing more. It’s a sultry, seductive, and euphoric song with heavy guitars and a chorus that makes you want to run barefoot through a moonlit field in a lace gown.”

Texan outfit Daedric have come ‘Undone,’ but that’s a good thing. The act are currently building up a clutch of pop-heavy nu-rock tunes that’ll eventually lead towards the release of their forthcoming full-length, As the Light Left. Last week they teamed up with Revolver to premiere the booming fourth single, ‘Undone,’ which arrives accompanied by a wave-rippled new music video.

The latest Daedric cut commingles deep, undulating beatwork with all-power drumming, purple-incandescent guitar melodies and the scratched-and-cooed clinic put on by vocalist Kristyn Hope.

Musically, ‘Undone’ was apparently dreamed up when band member and producer Clay Schroeder started humming a melody to himself while standing in line at the post office.

Hope tells Revolver that the lyrics somewhat connect to As the Light Left’s first single, May’s ‘Night Mother,’ and that it’s a reflective look at a toxic past relationship. It also features a subtle Star Wars reference via the line about being “carbonized in a burning shrine.”

“’Undone’ is not a song about love,” the singer explains. “It’s a song about deep regret and repeated failure to change, even when you want so badly to become a better version of yourself. Many times, the damage is irreversible.”

The music video finds Hope powerfully singing while either flanked by masked Daderic bandmates or while crooning with her head submerged in water. [via Revolver]

Italian symphonic metallers ELEGY OF MADNESS have released a video for ‘Broken Soul’, first single taken from the new album XI to be released on October 20 via Scarlet Records.

Italian maestros of modern melodic/symphonic metal TEMPERANCE will unleash their new concept album, Hermitage – Daruma’s Eyes Pt. 2, on October 20 via Napalm Records. Spiritbox have announced a new six-song EP titled The Fear of Fear. In advance of its November 3 release, the Canadian metallers have unveiled the new single and video ‘Jaded.’ The Fear of Fear contains five new songs and the previously released stand-alone single ‘The Void,’ which arrived in April of this year. ‘Jaded’ finds singer Courtney LaPlante shifting between clean melodic vocals and a vicious scream. Much-loved UK modern metal quartet Skarlett Riot return with their brand new single, ‘Chemicals’. Swiss modern metal upstarts, Illumishade, have signed a worldwide contract with Napalm Records. The premier Austrian rock and metal label is more than proud to welcome the five-piece to its ever growing roster. Along with the signing, the band, fronted by vocalist Fabienne Erni and guitarist Jonas Wolf (both of Eluveitie), unveils their brand-new standalone single, entitled ‘Enemy’. Emerging electro-industrial artist Babychaos has unveiled the video for her latest single ‘Guilty Hands (I Bleed)’. In the vein of contemporaries such as Poppy, Babychaos blends harsh electronics with overt industrial rock/metal elements, such as distorted guitars and vocals. For example, ‘Guilty Hands (I Bleed)’ melds a burgeoning guitar riff with subtle electronic flourishes, resulting in a jolting loud-soft arrangement and unsettling atmospherics. Remarked Babychaos regarding the concept behind the song: “The story behind ‘Guilty Hands’ is one I’ve been clinging onto for years — and now it’s finally come to fruition and is out of my system for good. Throughout 2022 I found myself constantly writing as a way to cope with occurrences in my life I couldn’t control.” She continued: “I’ve found through experience that when we feel we don’t have control over an aspect of our lives, we resort to a need to control other aspects, sometimes in unexpected and disturbing ways: That was the inspiration for this track and video. Louisiana metallic hardcore band Capra have announced that they’ll follow their 2021 debut LP In Transmission with sophomore album Errors on October 6 via Metal Blade/Blacklight. It was produced and tracked by Andrew Hernandez (This Will Destroy You, Mammoth Grinder, etc) at Estuary Recording Studios in Austin, mixed by Taylor Young, and mastered by Brad Boatright, the latter two of whom also worked on In Transmission. Walls of Jericho‘s Candace Kucsulain-Puopolo guests on ‘Human Commodity’ and Glassing‘s Dustin Coffman provided backing vocals on multiple tracks. “I knew that I wanted it to pick up where the first album left off, but that it needed to have an entirely new attitude,” says guitarist Tyler Harper. “If you listen to the last song from In Transmission into the first song on Errors, it’s a continuation. From there the album steers off into a direction that still feels similar, but is new.” The first single is ‘Tied Up,’ a killer offering of riffy, sludgy hardcore with some echoes of Every Time I Die–and not just because the drummer is wearing an ETID shirt in the video–and vocalist Crow Lotus tops it off with tangible, impassioned fury.
