The band said of the song in a press release, “Back in 2021, SKAAR came down to our little studio in Shoreham and we wrote a few ideas-one of them was a song we jokingly called Wonderwall (will explain another time). The chorus stuck with me, even after the demo sank to the bottom of a hard drive. Fast forward to this year-Jack and I dug it out and suddenly it all made sense. The lyrics hit different after everything that’s happened lately. I won’t go too deep here, but it’s been a time of growing, letting go, and finding some inner peace-especially since Jack moved to that cottage with the bed on the mezzanine.” They continued, “Finishing 'Happier' was honestly cathartic. There’s something so tough about watching someone you love struggle, knowing they’ve got to be the one to pull themselves out-but then, watching them do that? That’s the real beauty. We hope Happier resonates. In a world that can feel heavy and disconnected, maybe it’s possible to choose a little happiness each day. To nurture it. To let it grow.
