Nothing in this life is guaranteed, but if Rico Nasty comes out with a new song called ‘Black Punk,’ then you should probably listen to that song. Rico has messed around with a lot of different styles over the years, but her bedrock is chaotic, energy-charged mosh music, and her latest track locks right into that. For a while now, Rico Nasty has been following her 2020 album Nightmare Vacation with a series of one-off singles — ‘Money’ with Flo Milli, ‘Vaderz’ with Bktherula, ‘Intrusive.’ Now, she’s released ‘Black Punk’ as a kind of Juneteenth-weekend celebration. On the song, Rico talks gleeful shit over detuned guitars and hammering 808s, and she sounds amazing. In the video, Rico and friends get into a wild scene in a grimy bathroom, and everyone in the clip looks cooler than anyone you know. [via Stereogum]

Rising Cardiff artist Deyah has provided us with some fresh material in the form of a song titled ‘Suffa’. Deyah has been making a name for herself with smooth drops such as ‘Shoreditch’ and ‘Ultimate Dinner Party’ but she adopts a more energetic delivery on this new joint. The powerful Otis Saint Carter production prompts Deyah to come through with a hard-hitting approach; letting off her sharp bars and flows in the process. The visuals are equally as striking as the song and capture Deyah performing the song while covered in a wax-like liquid from head to toe. [via GRM Daily]

Since making one of the best rap albums of 2020, Flo Milli has been sticking to dropping a loose single here and there — including ‘Roaring 20s,’ the Dora The Explorer-sampling ‘Back Pack,’ and ‘PBC.’ Last year, she also teamed up with Rico Nasty on ‘Money.’ Recently, Flo Milli has been teasing a new single called ‘Conceited.’ That song is here now. “Feeling myself/ I’m conceited,” she raps on the hook, locking into her characteristic snarl.
