HÜSH

Edinburgh-based band HÜSH continue to carve out their place within Scotland’s alternative scene with new single ‘Constant Slideshow’. Drawing on influences from pop punk, Midwest emo and indie rock, the band combine dynamic musicianship with emotionally resonant songwriting.

Recorded and produced by the band at Napier University’s studios, ‘Constant Slideshow’ explores the lingering emotions left behind by a deteriorating relationship. Through shifting time signatures, nostalgic guitar work and the interplay between Dan Johnston’s restless vocals and Eve Allan’s bittersweet falsetto, the track captures the frustration of emotional stagnation before arriving at a hard-earned sense of clarity.

Red Peril

London-based independent artist, songwriter and producer Red Peril has long been a fixture of South London’s DIY music scene, first making her mark as a co-founder of Madonnatron. Now stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, she releases her debut EP Dystopian Disco, a project created almost entirely through independent means.

Lead single ‘Delivery Boy’ is a playful and provocative synth-pop fantasy that explores the intersection of desire, consumerism and class in the era of online convenience. Combining shimmering production with a sharp sense of humour, the track channels influences including La Femme, La Roux and Goldfrapp while establishing Red Peril’s distinctive solo voice.

Casual Wednesday

Casual Wednesday returns with the fiery new single ‘Everything Must Go’, a feminist indie-sleaze anthem packed with attitude, infectious energy and razor-sharp observations. Combining gritty guitars, funky basslines and powerhouse vocals, the track embraces both chaos and confidence.

Exploring the realities of modern dating and the pressures placed on women to accept poor treatment, ‘Everything Must Go’ serves as both critique and celebration. With tongue firmly in cheek and empowerment at its core, the song encourages listeners to reject patriarchal expectations and embrace their own independence unapologetically.

Shalini Rani

British Indian neo-soul and soul-pop artist Shalini Rani draws on personal experience, spirituality and cultural identity to create music that is both intimate and empowering. Her new single ‘Beauty & The Beast’ is one of her most personal releases to date.

Inspired by her experiences living with ADHD, navigating mental health challenges and learning to embrace all aspects of herself, the song explores themes of duality and self-acceptance. Drawing on the symbolism of Kali and the Hindu Shatkona, ‘Beauty & The Beast’ ultimately celebrates the idea that healing comes not from rejecting our shadows, but from learning to live alongside them.

Sara Eliisa

Singer-songwriter Sara Eliisa blends elements of jazz, folk and Americana into songs that are both intimate and atmospheric. Influenced by artists such as Antony and the Johnsons, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos and Emmylou Harris, her music places emotional storytelling at its heart.

Her latest single ‘Secrets’ creates a haunting and cinematic world through sparse instrumentation, jazz-tinged piano and evocative harmonica arrangements. Exploring spaces that feel simultaneously comforting and dangerous, the track examines the hidden costs of seeking refuge in places that may ultimately ask too much in return.

PORTIA

Singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist PORTIA returns with ‘DO BETTER’, featuring South London rapper and poet blankfacebails. Written, produced, engineered and mixed entirely by PORTIA herself, the track further establishes her as a compelling creative force within contemporary R&B.

Created in the aftermath of a difficult relationship, ‘DO BETTER’ explores the complicated relationship between emotional and physical intimacy. Balancing vulnerability with self-preservation, the song examines power, accountability and the ways in which people seek connection when words alone no longer feel sufficient.

Marissa Gamble

New York-based singer-songwriter Marissa Gamble creates theatrical pop infused with elements of cabaret, jazz and retro R&B. Rooted in live performance, her work combines polished musicianship with humour, spontaneity and a flair for storytelling.

Her latest EP Exhibit M explores themes of identity, creative freedom and finding joy in everyday experiences through rich arrangements featuring strings, brass and a full band. Focus track ‘Rain Check’ captures the frustration and excitement of romantic uncertainty, encouraging listeners to stop postponing possibility and embrace the moment.

TUJA

Burbank-based queer pop duo TUJA, made up of real-life partners Jasper Bickers and Tuta, have built a growing audience through their heartfelt blend of bilingual pop and bedroom indie influences.

Their latest single ‘Other Side’ draws on their own experiences of sexuality, identity and vulnerability. Exploring the complexities of coming out and embracing authenticity, the track pairs emotional honesty with the duo’s signature warmth, creating an intimate and relatable portrait of self-discovery.

Tintenfish

Stockholm-based independent artist, songwriter and producer Tintenfish blends elements of soul, R&B, dream pop and folk to create music that feels both intimate and expansive. Written, produced and performed entirely by Tintenfish herself, her work explores personal experiences through rich and atmospheric soundscapes.

New single ‘Serenity’, taken from her upcoming debut EP, reflects on the experience of falling in love for the first time. Combining soulful vocals with dreamy textures, the track captures both the excitement and tenderness of opening yourself up to another person.

Meztli

Mexican-American singer-songwriter Meztli creates nostalgic indie-pop filled with cinematic textures, late-night energy and emotional honesty. Inspired by romance, city life and the desire to experience everything at once, her music occupies the space between fantasy and reality.

Latest single ‘Taxi’ captures the intoxicating rush of all-consuming love through dreamy guitars, pulsing rhythms and layered harmonies. Inspired by late-night drives, blurred city lights and the excitement of new romance, the track serves as the perfect introduction to Meztli’s forthcoming debut album Love in Stereo, a project centred around glamour, fantasy and emotional escapism.
