Canadian hard rock band DALI VAN GOGH drop ‘Out for Blood’ music video. ‘Out for Blood’ is a track taken from New Blood, Old Wounds EP out via Wormholedeath / Aural Music Group. “‘Out for Blood’ is a high energy, high octane song, from start to finish,” says bassist Lance Hicks on the new tune. “It gives the listener no chance to breathe or recover, and that’s exactly how we wanted it.” “‘Out For Blood’ actually took a long time to grow on me,” says guitarist Isaac Kent, who also wrote both the lyrics and music for the song. “The main riff I’d been playing variations of during sound check for years, and the lyrics got written maybe a year before we actually recorded the song. I tend to write and finish songs regardless of quality or if it’s the right style for Dali Van Gogh, and this one in particular just seemed too classic rock to me. But the guys in the band pestered me and pestered me to use it, so when it came time to record the EP I genuinely got outvoted. That said, once Rachelle got her hands on it in the studio, she just knocked it out of the park.” “I’m so excited to show everyone the new video,” say DVG drummer Johnny Moore. “I’ve wanted to incorporate 4-wheelers in a music video for years and we finally got a chance to use them! It’s a heavy-hitting song with a heavy-hitting video.” “We’ve had the pleasure to work with Keke [Beatz] on both the Savanna video and now this new one for ‘Out For Blood’,” Says Hicks “This time I think we can all say that he has really outdone himself. It’s amazing when you can get a first draft from your producer that you could conceivably release it as is without any edits. We’re already looking forward to working with him again.”

Escuela Grind are gearing up to release their new Kurt Ballou-produced LP Memory Theater on September 30 via MNRK Heavy, and they’re now sharing new single ‘All Is Forgiven.’ You probably know what genre to assign to a band that literally has “grind” in their name, and ‘All Is Forgiven’ has plenty of grind parts, but they know how to slow it down into some groovy metalcore too. Here’s what the band says about it: “‘All Is Forgiven’ gives you another glimpse at the crushing power of our upcoming album Memory Theater. The catchiness, the riffs, the dedication to blasts, it’s all there and we think you’re gonna really love it. This is a skull cracker for sure! We shot a really cool video for it with our friend Michael Jari Davidson, which you absolutely need to watch.” [via Brooklyn Vegan]

Rock powerhouse New Years Day releases their new single and music video for ‘Hurts Like Hell’ via Century Media. Watch the music video directed by Robyn August (Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Nothing More). “‘Hurts Like Hell’ might seem like a song about a relationship on the surface; in a way, it is, I suppose,” states New Years Day singer Ash Costello. “As I struggled to navigate how to continue to pursue my passion during the pandemic, I realized that chaos is where I thrive. I will stare down any obstacle, even if I look like a crazy person to subject myself to it. Eleanor Roosevelt said, ‘We all know people who are so afraid of pain that they shut themselves up […] and shrink until life is a mere living death.’ Turning pain into progress and tragedy into triumph is a particularly satisfying victory. As the saying goes: ‘nothing worth having comes easy.’ That is what ‘Hurts Like Hell’ means to me. The song is an acceptance and celebration of my relationship with chaos.” [via Outburn]

Lord Of Confusion is now streaming their new single ‘Land Of Mystery’ off their coming record Evil Mystery, due out September 30. ‘Land Of Mystery’ is the album’s opening theme and it gives a glimpse of the journey listeners are about to take,” said the band. “We invite them to forget about everyday life and immerse themselves in our universe. Heavy Riffs, Melodies, Psych and a whole aura of Mystery” [via Metal Injection]
