21-year-old singer and rapper Shan.X has released a new genre-bending single ‘Mr.Know’. The pop and rap-influenced R&B track dives into Shan.X’s complex past relationships and reflects on how her most recent relationship ended. X wrote this song very shortly after her last relationship came to an end, around a similar time that she wrote ‘Wish IGAF’. Shan’s ex left without communicating upfront about what was going on, and this song is a reflection on the whole situation and the end of their relationship. When asked about the song, Shan.X said she was speaking on lots of things that were happening “right before he left because those were the things that were standing out to me the most in that time”. This single seems to blend Shan.X’s R&B influences with her more alternative and rap influences.
