Los Angeles born and now an Edinburgh local, singer-songwriter Alas de Liona has unveiled ethereal ‘Violet’ as the second single off her upcoming debut album, out this autumn.

Once again produced by Idlewild’s Rod Jones, ‘Violet’ will be released on Alas’ own Deli Owner Records via Absolute Label Services. The indie-pop tune has the hazy sound of a perfect summer anthem, but its message of insomnia, apprehension and replaying conversations on a loop does make it come with a certain asterisk. Alas’ ethereal vocals soothe as angst meets beachy vibes.
