Rising artist and songwriter de clair is a talent poised to follow in their footsteps, with the release of her serene new single ‘peace of mind’ – out today on The Satchi Six.

The new single is the third offering from de clair’s upcoming debut 6-track EP, hiding mountains in the palm of my hand, set for release on March 15. Co-written with renowned writer/producer Jonny Coffer during a visit to London last year, ‘peace of mind’ delicately pushes the boundaries of folk, with interlocking vocals drifting over pristine acoustic guitars. Possessing an evocative elasticity, the song offers a poignant reflection on the longing for tranquility within a restless mind.

Speaking about her new single, de clair describes, “It’s about long-term stress and a deep, inner wish for peace of mind. We all deserve to feel safe, loved, and cared for, but far from all are. I wanted to write a song about this, the injustice of never being able to feel calm inside. In the end the song itself turned into a kind of meditative anthem, and I hope that whoever listens can find peace of mind through it.”
