ena mori explores the fragile edges of rage on new single ‘Sink’

Genre-defying indie art pop artist ena mori returns with ‘Sink’, a bold sonic shift that trades euphoria for introspection. Known for crafting explosive, high-energy anthems that blur the lines between hyperpop, electro-pop and art pop, Manila-based ena mori takes a quieter, more vulnerable path on ‘Sink’.

New single ‘Sink’ finds ena mori at her most disarmed and disarming, a slow-burning art-pop exhale that transforms rage into something tender and reflective. Over weightless synths, sighing melodies and agitated drum snaps, she explores anger not as fire but as fog, creeping and quietly consuming. She paints rage not as a spectacle but as a shadow we live with (“I don’t wanna do this / You deserve all the pain the pain, the way I’ve been through”). Through quiet vengeance and controlled chaos, ena mori reveals a cruel kind of peace, as she explains:

“Anger is often portrayed through physical outbursts or intense, punchy reactions—but I wanted to approach it in a more delicate, introspective way. We all experience those moments of uncontrollable rage, though many of us keep it hidden in our imagination. It feels like a true relief—a kind of bliss—to give that emotion an auditory form. Writing this song helped me process my own feelings while also recognising how deeply human and natural these emotions are.”
