London-based singer-songwriter and producer Faye Meana has shared her new single ‘No Need To Be Shy’, presenting a mesmerising display of 80’s inspired R&B with pop influences.
The follow-up to last year’s retro cut ‘Stuck In The Middle’, Meana’s latest offering is sensual and haunting, and shines a light on her sometimes brutal honesty. Bringing enviable confidence, the rising artist tightropes between romance and nostalgia as her tender vocals weave seamlessly through the track’s spellbinding soundscape. Self-produced by Meana, ‘No Need To Be Shy’ experiments with punchy synths and brooding hues that reinforce the track’s upfront messaging, and paves the way for more material set to follow later this year.
Speaking of the single, Faye Meana explains – “No Need Be Shy is about my sometimes brutal honesty. I never act out of reason however if someone asks for my opinion on something then I will say the truth about it. Throughout my life, I have come across a lot of people who ask for honesty, but don’t want it.”
