In Your Walls drop new single ‘White Lightning’

In Your Walls isn’t just an alternative rock band—they’re a force that makes the walls shake. Since emerging in the Toronto scene in 2023, they’ve been carving out a space that’s entirely their own, built on searing guitar work, soaring dual-vocal harmonies, and lyrics that actually mean something. There’s no filler here—just raw, urgent music that demands to be felt. And today, they drop their new single ‘White Lightning.’

Following their debut EP S, ‘White Lightning’—a restless, electric burst of energy that’s sharp, fast, and gone before you can pin it downs—is a song that captures the thrill of the chase, the flash of inspiration, the kind of moment that’s there and then suddenly isn’t. While it builds on the sound they’ve been refining, it also marks a shift—pushing their intensity even further, embracing both precision and chaos in a way that feels entirely natural.

Bridget says of the single: “I think of ‘White Lightning’ as a Bonnie and Clyde type of story, but in its essence it’s really a song about letting loose and escaping from daily reality. We wrote it together in early covid and I think that the isolation really fueled the fantastical qualities that it has lyrically. The part of the vocals that goes “They’ll never catch us baby we don’t need an alibi” is especially fueled by this sort of imagery.”

Ryan adds: “‘White Lightning’ was written in the middle of a storm, before we were even a band, and we didn’t think it was going to be anything more than a fun tune we had created. I still think about that day and writing the song, then walking to the water and watching the storm roll in. It’s a song that holds a lot of meaning for us because, in a way, it’s what brought us together musically.”
