This song can be about a partner but also about a friend that you are attached to. Staying in this relationship is draining and unhealthy for both of you so you finally decide to walk away from it, while you still hope that the person will stop you from doing that, but that doesn’t happen. Walk Away is a song that stands for strength, because your heart needs more time to follow, but you choose to leave behind what no longer serves you.”
