Songwriter and producer Luna Morgenstern announces her new EP heartbreak hotel and shares new single ‘miss u’. New conceptual visual EP heartbreak hotel – out January 17 – sees Luna transport herself to the Icelandic wilderness as she works her way through the phases of a break-up, represented through a series of symbols, deserted landscapes and the metaphor of hotel rooms.

Subtly euphoric new single ‘miss u’ – the EP’s second taste following last month’s ‘hush hush’ – thumps with an air of nostalgia. With its warm synths, throwback breakbeats and Luna’s ethereal vocals, the song captures a longing for a past connection.

Speaking on the release of the new single, Luna said: “‘miss u’ represents the reminiscing stage after the breakup, when you find yourself estranged from the person you used to share everything with. I wanted to capture the yearning for the intimacy you once shared, when they still saw you as a part of them. Despite seeking solace in a foreign place, it’s impossible to escape the overwhelming feeling of missing them.”
