meliss says “I moved away from my small seaside hometown at 18 and kind of vowed I’d never look back. As much as I’ve grown into myself since then, the gap since leaving has only gotten wider. I tried to reject so much of my younger self and this song is realising a lot of it is still with me and that’s okay.”
