In a quiet seaside town in the East of Scotland, NATI. has been steadily crafting a follow up to 2023’s debut EP Older, and is set to reward her dedicated global fanbase with new material, kicking things off with ‘Heard It All Before’.
Fans have been dying to have this song on record, as it has been kicking off the live show over the last few months. The new single is an empowering, fiery anthem, inspired by the act of saying “no” and “I disagree”, NATI. asked fans “Do you ever sit in a stew of your own rage and disappointment”..
‘Heard It All Before’ was the third track written with Prentice Robertson and evolved around the line “I’ve bit my tongue too many times / I’ve hurt myself and lived and lie / but that’s not working any more”. Soon the heavy electric guitars, stinky riffs, and bright little licks fell into place to create a colourful, energetic track from the so often melodic and acoustic star. “Us overthinking, anxious types may be gentle folk but categorically do not fuck with us once we get our marbles back. They might just end up stuffed in your mouth,” NATI. added.
