Razor Braids are anxious about entering a new relationship on ‘Berate Me’

Consisting of all queer women, Razor Braids’ soaring harmonies and magnetic sound create a cathartic sound unlike any other. Razor Braids are gearing up for the release of their sophomore album Big Wave. A glittery yet intense roller coaster ride through self acceptance, the project explores themes of passion, joy, and confusion, and will be released on June 7.

New single ‘Berate Me’ is an ode to the feelings of joy, fear, and uncertainty that pair along with a newly founded relationship. Throughout the tune, Razor Braids bring self-awareness to the forefront, while highlighting insecurities and focal points of improvement. Simultaneously, the trio maintain a lighthearted and almost sarcastic heir to their flaws, making the track a relatable experience for a lot of hopeless romantics. It’s a sleek indie rock tune with intense healing powers, and sonically invokes the likes of Mannequin Pussy, Indigo de Souza, or Rilo Kiley.
