She Drew The Gun has shared the new ‘Washed In Blue’ via Submarine Cat.
‘Washed In Blue’ is a real highlight of the forthcoming album Howl. It’s expansive straight from the get go, ambitious and thrilling. Matched by Louisa Roach vocal, it’s sweeping but tender and deeply personal, showing another side to Louisa’s songwriting after the politically-charged earlier singles such as ‘Mirrors’ and ‘Howl’.
She Drew The Gun talks about the track: “It’s about the time I left an Everton sock in my white wash haha. Straight from the 80’s. It’s about romance, the magic of the moon, falling in love under it, the idea there’s a set of cards with a pair of lovers’ names on, and asking was that really every card we played? So it’s also about heartbreak and coming home to yourself.”
