The Admired dream of ‘Fame&Money’ on new single

Today Sydney emo-pop duo The Admired share the track that started it all. Described by frontwoman Bianca Davino as “the spark that really kicked off our direction for The Admired”, ‘Fame&Money’ is the last of three tracks that make up the band’s mini-EP 3 songs. The record also includes 2010s-inspired it-girl anthem ‘Dancefloor’ and nostalgic love letter to Tumblr-era fan culture, ‘All I’ve Got’.

Written from the perspective of a complex but larger-than-life main character, ‘Fame&Money’ delves into passion, ambition, and the ups and downs of chasing the spotlight. Both thematically and musically, ‘Fame&Money’ feels right at home with The Admired’s recent singles, drawing inspiration from core 2000s emo influences like Motion City Soundtrack and The Starting Line.

Looking ahead, Bianca says that, along with guitarist Max Jacobson, the band will hit the studio with brand new demos in the new year. “We’re really proud of how these songs turned out, and we’re super excited to build on the sound and vision early next year to record a new EP.”
