The Cocktail Slippers release new single ‘Joyride’

Norwegian rock ’n’ roll powerhouse The Cocktail Slippers return with their new single ‘Joyride,’ via Wicked Cool Records. The track also serves as the title cut from the band’s forthcoming album Joyride, with album pre-orders and the single pre-save launching today.

‘Joyride’ captures the spirit of life on the road — a loud, joyous anthem packed with big riffs, soaring harmonies, and the band’s signature mix of vintage swagger and modern punch. Inspired by classic ’70s rock road songs, the track channels the thrill, camaraderie, and chaos of touring into a sing-along celebration.

“’Joyride’ is, not unlike songs such as ‘Highway to Hell’ by AC/DC, ‘We’re an American Band’ by Grand Funk Railroad and ‘Highway Star’ by Deep Purple, a feel-good on the road song with strong preferences in the 70s rock sound. ‘Joyride’ is a sing-a-long tune about life on the road, internal band humor, endless highways and singing in the backseat,” says guitarist Stine Bendiksen.
