valentines day is a five-piece indie/alternative rock band originally from New Brunswick, NJ. the group consists of aria (vocals/rhythm guitar/auxiliary percussion), emily (bass), nishta (drums), sarah (vocals), and stage (lead guitar). the band has just released their new single, ‘love island.’

With ‘love island,’ valentines day dips their toes into the realm of shoegaze while keeping true to their DIY roots of the New Brunswick scene. Always maintaining the sincerity of a group of real friends who love what they do and the people they do it for.

Their sound gives Snailmail meets Lush; or imagine of the early days of Beebadobee, but if the band had the combined charm of five unique members who were raised with the grit that only the Jersey scene can bring.
