Irish alt-rock band VERA release punchy new single ‘Skinbag’ today.

Here’s what the band had to say on the new offering: “’Skinbag’ is a raw, post-punk anthem about self destruction, the frailty of the human experience and the intoxicating pull to places and people that will chew you up and spit you out. The verses move in a hypnotic, almost taunting rhythm built around sharp, repetitive phrases. It feels conversational but also unhinged. While the chorus, dressed in clattering drums, snarling guitars and a relentless rhythm is more defiant yet also strangely intimate. Pulsing with a mechanical drive, ‘Skinbag’ is a desperate plea for connection wrapped in self deprecating humour. It’s dark and restless. This is one for the bruised and the bitter.”
