Wednesday’s Child announce new EP and share first single ‘KNEES’

London-based experimental indie quartet Wednesday’s Child have announced their debut EP, All Dressed Up, set for release on February 6, 2026. The first single, ‘KNEES’, is out today.

‘KNEES’ explores the tension between nostalgia for childhood innocence and rebellion against it. Written with London’s young artists in mind – the highs and lows, intense togetherness and equally intense loneliness, late-night gigs, early mornings at work, constant self-reckoning – ‘KNEES’ embodies the emotional whiplash of wanting to protect yourself and of wanting to feel everything all at once. Life can feel sacred and silly at the same time, and this duality is highlighted as the tenderness of Georgia and Amelia’s vocals give way to Joel and Stella’s angular guitar riffs and driving drum rhythms in the choruses.

The new EP marks an evolution for the band. It is the result of diary entries, DIY sessions at Ten87, studio time at RAK Studios, hands-on production, and a refreshed creative dynamic. The five tracks lean further into heavier psych-rock territory whilst still dancing through whimsical theatrics and poetic vulnerability. Exploring themes of rebirth, reanimation, horror and healing, All Dressed Up delves deeper into psychological struggles, emotional confrontation, and the renewed hope that lives at the edge of the woods of despair.
