Coventry-based artist YNES releases her new single ‘Fake What Your Mama Gave You’ today.

Not built for a 9 to 5? Good job you don’t need one. YNES’ first single from the upcoming EP Overgrown Rebel – ‘Fake What Your Mama Gave Ya’ takes a tongue-in-cheek dig at the struggle of middle-class indie boys who dominate the industry.

She says: “First, you take a hint of ‘Rock N’ Roll Lifestyle’ by Cake. Then you add a measure of ‘Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous’ by Good Charlotte. Next, you run them through female fronted Britpop-Punk. Add a 2022 filter. And Voila, you have ‘Fake What Your Mama Gave Ya’.”
