Today, indie/folk artist Zoe Boekbinder (they/them) premieres side-A of the double single ‘I Am Yesterday / Cut My Heart In Two’.
Although it’s a minimalist and isolated piece, Boekbinder and their labelmates Gracie and Rachel deliver the track with a comforting sense of warmth, balancing the emptiness with solace and confession.
Zoe explains of the song: “This song is about losing a friendship and being cut off from that person without a chance at resolution or reconciliation. It’s about being shunned and being cast as a villain in someone’s story.”
