Bea Miller announces new album Mr. Peaked in High School alongside new single ‘drunk enough’

Following the releases of ‘depressed on the internet’ and ‘born to lose,’ Bea Miller officially announces her new album, Mr. Peaked in High School, arriving September 18. The  announcement arrives alongside her new single, ‘drunk enough,’ out now via Island Records UK/Republic Records.

Written alongside longtime collaborator Justin Tranter and producers Oak Felder and Dan Crean, ‘drunk enough’ explores the uncertainty of an almost-relationship, capturing the tension between the things left unsaid and the courage it takes to finally confront them. The song continues Miller’s candid approach to songwriting while introducing the emotional world of Mr. Peaked in High School.

Across Mr. Peaked in High School, Miller embraces the contradictions that have always fuelled her songwriting. Examining identity, perception and the lingering weight of early success, the album balances vulnerability with humour while refusing to separate the two. Across 13 tracks, Miller expands her sound with a band-driven approach that moves fluidly across pop, alternative and R&B, foregrounding performance, melody and emotional clarity.

On the album, Miller shares: “I think this album is going to be the best thing I’ve ever done… I feel like I’ve gotten my second wind at this point, and I’m ready to hopefully prove myself wrong for thinking I had reached my maximum level of success and would never be able to recreate that.”
