Sarah Kinsley is excited to announce the release of her debut album, Escaper, for September 6 via Verve Forecast/Decca. To coincide with the announcement, Kinsley unveils a first taste of the new music with the album opener, ‘Last Time We Never Meet Again’.
Kinsley collaborated with, and co-produced, the album alongside Grammy-award winning producer John Congleton (Angel Olsen, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten). The record heralds the first time Kinsley has collaborated in the studio with another producer, having self-produced her previous EP releases to date.
“One realization you have eventually as an insular, more introspective person is that there’s a world outside of yourself waiting for you to look into it. I had made every single EP from scratch, in the sweetness of my apartment… This record was meant to be grand and unstoppable. A beginning descent into freefall. Why protect that feeling in solitude? Why not invite another into that journey?” she details of working with Congleton.
In support of the record’s release, Kinsley and her band will embark on a huge 31-date headline tour across North America, the UK/Ireland and Europe, calling at London’s Heaven on 14th November alongside dates in Dublin, Bristol, Glasgow, and Manchester.
